Gawain 0 #1 May 18, 2004 Havana, Istanbul, and Rio de Janeiro were among those that didn't make the final "short" list. So, look into your crystal ball...who get's it? With that in mind, the summer games are in Athens this year. Where are the rest of the games being held (Winter-'06, '10; Summer-'08)? My vote goes to NYC.So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! DrunkMonkey 0 #2 May 18, 2004 Does anyone really watch the Olympics much anymore? They seem a bit...passe' since there are so many pro athletes playing in them (Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, etc..)
kelel01 1 #3 May 18, 2004 I do-- religiously (summer games, anyway). Gymnastics, swimming, and diving every four years. Kelly

kallend 2,175 #5 May 18, 2004 Paris or London. The others are all in countries that have recently hosted an Olympics.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
Nightingale 0 #6 May 18, 2004 I hope someone other than the USA. We've hosted too often recently and need to learn to share. I vote for London '04 is in Athens, Greece '06 is in Turin, Italy '08 is in Beijing, China '10 is in Vancouver, Canada The US has hosted the olympics three times in the past 20 years (salt lake 02, Atlanta 96, and Los Angeles 84) Spain hosted in 92 (Barcelona, summer) France hosted in 92 (Albertville, winter) Russia last hosted in 1980 England last hosted in 1948. wmw999 2,600 #7 May 18, 2004 I'd say it's between London and Moscow. London because it's been a long time, and Moscow because of the boycott in 1980. Especially with the, um, viewpoint that some of the international community has of the US right now. No matter if you think they're right or wrong, the IOC is who decides.
