I was thinking how it is one of the greatest activities in the history of mankind. It is also the ultimate skydive. Totally letting go .... and bringing it back.

It's been done. Very sharp edge of the sword though. For ISS EVA's, they were a SAFER, which, in an emergency, can get them back to structure.

Bruce is a cool guy. I worked in the building where the MMU was developed and tested. He was in and out of there a lot. Super nice guy. If you listen to old recordings of the Apollo moon launch, you'll also hear him announcing for some of it.

Call me sick but i would do it even if i knew i wasn't coming back. 30 mins in space outside the spacecraft, no strings attatched. I think it might be worth it.
