Gawain 0 #1 May 20, 2004 I feel dutybound to inform you that the music from one of the greatest music bands ever is seeing some unusual commercial use here in the US. Perhaps someone can give Brian May, Roger Taylor or John Deacon (he's been rather quiet) of Queen and find out what's up. Why you might ask? Well, you should know that "We are the Champions" is being used in a Viagra commercial, and Jaguar (Ford) is using "I'm in Love with My Car" in their newest campaign. Please don't tell me that Brian, Roger, John lost the rights to the music the way McCartney did to Michael Jackson? So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! samhussey 0 #4 May 20, 2004 Surely "We Will Rock You" would be a better choice for Viagra music?
Remster 30 #5 May 20, 2004 I find it an order of magnitude sader that Led Sep songs are used for Cadilacs ads.... talk about an odd fit.Remster
samhussey 0 #6 May 20, 2004 And the "Top of the Pops" opening. Is nothing sacred?
Remster 30 #7 May 20, 2004 To me, thats less sad. TOTP is still a music show, mostly bad music, but they do get the odd decent songs on there, so its still in the same ballpark.Remster
