( started many posts it seems like with those 5 words) you never really know how sensitive you are truly till someone lays something on the plate in front of you. i grew up with a very "thick skin". then sensitivity just happened to make itself more apparent in my life. so what do you do? fortunately i am a pretty resilient person, and can take a lot of shit. so i take a deep breath, sulk it up and move on life is way too long of a stretch to keep letting things bother you. so i guess i just needed to think aloud... thanks for letting me vent Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites WrongWay 0 #2 May 19, 2004 Here I shit......pondering again......(read it on a bathroom wall) Here's one thing I learned about life from this sport. If you don't have a thick skin, you'll never survive. Take everything with a grain of salt, as every person thinks differently, speaks differently, acts differently, and reacts differently in different situations and can be totally different people even on a day to day basis. Being thick skinned prevents being hurt or bruised by the bad times, but still lets you learn from them. Life is like skydiving. You know you'll never reach the goal of mastery, but you use every chance you get to learn all you can. Grow a thicker skin, and you'll survive longer, to learn more.
