BoostedXT 0 #1 May 21, 2004 I am ordering a classic freefly suit from Matter clothing. I have read the reviews and everything is good. Just some questions before I hit submit. Normal? Baggy? Or super baggy? I have an option for grips on the arms and legs. Could this suit also double as a RW suit if I got the grippers? Can I measure myself with my sewing tape? I took the advice of everyone and found I should just say "fudge it" and buy one to go with my new container. Thanks again JoeFor long as you live and high you fly and smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry and all that you touch and all that you see is all your life will ever be. wingnut 0 #2 May 21, 2004 well how baggy you want depends on how slow or fast you fall.. the baggier it is the slower you will fall.... as of roptions.. well i recomend a pocket!!!!! i use the one onmy suit all the time wether for jump tix, a pull up cord or for my lighter...... very usefull. i also got a corura but on my for more durability.. i like it.......... and as for measuring. have somebody else do it for you..you really can't get it right doingit yourself.. maybe get a hot girl to get your inseam!!!........ have fun and i know a good jumpsuit will make a wrld of diffrence in your enjoyment of skydiving.. i went 4 years withought a good one and now have one and love mine!!!! ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
AggieDave 6 #3 May 21, 2004 Quote Normal? Baggy? Or super baggy? You have 11 jumps, right? Then you may not beable to answer that question quite yet, since you may not beable to determine what sorts of speeds you'll go without a suit. You might want to have someone at your DZ look at your body type and talk to your instructors about your normal belly to earth speed to help determine which is right for you. Quote. Could this suit also double as a RW suit if I got the grippers? Yes, but it won't perform as well as a true RW suit. Sort of like making a Pinto a drag racer. Sure you can do it, sure its been done and its been done well, but its not quite as good as using something purpose built. QuoteCan I measure myself with my sewing tape? Sure, BUT if you screw up the measurements or just one, it may not fit right. Get someone at your DZ that has done it before to do it (i.e. a dealer or a rigger that has helped folks order rigs/jumpsuits). Good luck! --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
BoostedXT 0 #4 May 21, 2004 Thanks for the help guys. I will ask my JM what she thinks the sizing should be. I will also get a hot girl to measure me up...do you recommend clothing or no clothing....lol..*Matter recommends with clothing* Any other thoughts? Below is my color scheme. Ncrowe 0 #7 May 21, 2004 I'm going to do a partial hi-jack here, what do you guys think of Da Kine freefly suits? are they worth the money? Also why do most people buy a freefly suit and then a pair of freefly pants? Wouldnt it make more sense to just buy a freefly suit that consists of a jack and pants to begin with?? AggieDave 6 #8 May 21, 2004 Quotewhat do you guys think of Da Kine jumpsuits? are they worth the money? IMNHO...nope. If you want to spend that kind of money and want a top quality suit, get a FireFly. If you don't want to spend that much and want a top quality suit, get a Freedom Means Choice. If you're a cheap bastard and want a good suit, get a Kurupee.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

I got BevSuit on my RW, FF, and FF Pantz and love it all. I was simply lazy and didn't want to redo my measurements and wanted the same material pattern. Well, I had left that open since I don't jump a 2-piece suit and was leaving that for someone to pipe in that is. Here's my take though (use it for whatever its worth), its not a bad idea, although if you're like me, I *have* to have the full suit or I'm going to drop out of the sky on everything, so its pointless for me. If I want to do a hop-n-pop only wearing the pants, that would be an added bonus, but why subject part of your jumpsuit to the added non-needed abuse. That's why I have my "happy swoopy" baggy motocross pants. (Shift's 2003 model of the "Recon" pants). --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
