Icarus Beta 150-bad bad bad deployment

Recommended Posts

Hello ,i have purchased an Icarus Beta 150 with 25 jumps .flying fine and stable BUT the deployment is just AWFUL!TERRIBLE! and painful too!
Packed by 6 different packers ,box position while opening...and still terrible!(back pains for 3 days now!)

Can anyone may explain or have any idea what can be the reason??i would appreciate to find out.
If necessary I jump with a Javelin and had before a 150 Spectra.

Did you ever stop and ask why an Icarus Beta (which is an older canopy) would only have 25 jumps on it, my guess would be there is something wrong with it (such as it opens really hard). I would suggest having a rigger make a domed slider for it or another option would be a pocket on the front of the slider.

How about contacting the manufacturer. Even though you bought it used they might have a look at it.

I bought a used Tri190 several years ago that opened instantaneously every time. Like being in a car wreck. I remember thinking while I was tracking away from a formation that it might be less painful to just go in. [:/] Tried all kinds of things...messing with the slider...stowing the steering lines on the tail...none of it helped. Finally sent it back to Aerodyne. They were awesome. Above and beyond my expectations.

It's a small community and I'm sure the manufacturer doesn't want to get a bad name.

Please don't dent the planet.
