Cornholio 0 #6 July 18, 2003 I quit smoking on January 2nd 2002. I tried on the first, but didn't make it so instead of waiting another year, I just tried again. Once that first day is over, the rest is much easier. Not that it's gonna be easy, but the first day is the hardest. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! RevJim 0 #20 July 19, 2003 Quit for the first time in the late fall of '96. Started again almost exactly a year later. Built up to close to 2 packs a day since then. Then I quit, for good, at 6:15 a.m. June 30th, 2003. It unreal how even the smell of fireworks smoke made me gag. I started smoking around when I was 16 or 17, in high school. That would be the 86/87 or 87/88 school years. I've gone cold turkey. It's quite easily the hardest thing I have ever done, but it's soooo worth it. The difference in the smell of the air alone at 10 grand makes it worth it! Katie, do yourself a favor. Stop right now. Waiting till you come home to leave the bad habits over there sounds easier than it is. Trust me. If you honesty can't just say no more to cigs now, what makes you think you can when you come back? It's your life, live it! jtval 0 #22 July 19, 2003 Quotetobacco sucks ass. or you could say, ASSES suck tobacco! BWWAHAH! Rev, I know whatcha mean about the smell. I used to get a weak stomach alot I hadda stop going to clubs for a while(not like I was missing out on anything) I was sick of smelling like smoke. I still dont like to go to places like that. my eyes get all fukt up and my throat closes up! not what I call a good time! but the general smell will eventually die down when your brain knows you quit. I still dont like the smell but I dont get sick anymore! My photos My Videos

GARYC24 3 #24 July 23, 2003 I quit about 6 weeks ago..but however last weekend I bought a pack and cheated ! I still have.. a hard time quiting after a skydive and driving to DZ.So I bought them as to not bum one from other people if I broke down! I thru what was left in pack away on the way home! I don't feel guilty about it because I don't have any real support in quitting or not. I must say that my circulation is better, especially my fingers(helps with playing guitar along time)
jtval 0 #25 July 23, 2003 gary. the only support you need is yourself! not to sound egotisticall but you will never quit if you cant make that dedication to yourself! it is very hard and as I said I dont think anyone has quit on thier first attempt but keep at it!My photos My Videos
