freeflir29 0 #1 May 23, 2004 OK.....I'm stuck. I have been trying to get a virus of my roommates computer all afternoon. Still can't get it! I have a virus removal tool BUT.........to get rid of this worm you have to disable the System restore. I have had ones be nasty about not letting you do that before and I have been able to beat them with one trick or another. However, this time I just can't figure it out. When you go into "My computer" it shows that it's disabled already. But it isn't.......in fact it won't let me enable or disable it. I have tried safe mode and that doesn't work. Any ideas? CrazyIvan 0 #4 May 23, 2004 If you can try booting in SAFE MODE, some viruses don't work in that mode, plus, loging in as ADMINISTRATOR sometimes has its advantages, now, if you do that, and still have issues, means that the virus messed up your credentials, solution: FDISK + FORMAT__________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.
