kelel01 1 #1 May 23, 2004 I'm going out of town this weekend and am toying around with the idea of shipping my rig out instead of carrying it on the plane, just to avoid any hassle at security. Also, I have other things that I would prefer to carry on with me. But how do I go about doing that? UPS has a value max on packages that I thought was about $500-$1,000. Also, I know people have done this before, so about how much did it cost? It'd be from Atlanta to Providence. Thanks for the help! Kelly

kelel01 1 #3 May 23, 2004 Ok, well, if I carry it, do I need some sort of documents so they don't pop my reserve or yank out my CYPRES? I would be smackin' some security "officials" who did that. Kelly

markbaur 0 #5 May 23, 2004 I recently shipped a brand-new rig UPS overnight across the country. The total was $112: $95 for shipping 25 pounds, just $17 for $5000 insurance. If you are able to plan ahead, UPS 3-day or ground might be the ticket. Mark
kelel01 1 #6 May 23, 2004 Thanks both of you! Guess I need to make up my mind quickly, huh? The only thing that concerns me is that I KNOW that I don't have an extra half hour at the airport, seeing as how I'm going straight from work and can't leave any earlier, or else I wouldn't hesitate to carry it on. But thanks for the info from both of you! Kelly
