Girlfalldown 0 #1 May 25, 2004 Well here's the story. I'd planned on going to Lost Prairie this year and I'm really looking forward to it but... My brother calls me last week and tells me that he has decided to plan his wedding the last weekend of Lost Prairie. The nerve of him!!! Really I'm very happy he's getting married and I won't miss it for the world but this means I'm going to have to leave Lost Prairie on Thursday before the big weekend of fun and fly down to Ontario, CA. It also means about $700 extra for airfare. I'm just wondering what you guys would do. Should I wait til next year and experience the entire thing and just go to a few smaller boogies? Should I go to Rantoul instead? Should I save up my vacation time for Eloy? AGH!! I'm so very happy for my brother but damn I sure am disappointed about this. -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)

Cannuck is right...you won't regret it and there are a few new goodies being added to thepot for this year. BB says to herself...may I never run out of ideas... Seriously though, if you'll have to miss the part you're most looking forward to - and spend a whole lotta money to get from there to the wedding - why not wait and experience the whole thing next year? If it were me I'd do Rantoul this year and LP next year. Someday I'm gonna figure out a way to hit both boogies in one year dammit.

cocheese 0 #17 May 26, 2004 Cold humor :What's the diff between a wedding and a funeral ? A funeral is usually representing the death of ONE person. I made that up.Yep tell your bro you'll go to his second wedding. The first one doesn't count thesedays. And i wonder why I'm single ?Lost Prairie and waiting another year don't mix. Go get lost and tell him (when you are there) that you are sorry but you can't leave. They are holding you hostage.Hell take him for a Tandem if he really wants to take the plunge. Then he'll understand.

vdschoor 0 #19 May 26, 2004 NOOOOO you're going to miss LP? Now that there are so many people going this year... But.. I would go for the wedding if I had to choose, or go to LP and fly back early.. There will always be next year when it comes to a boogie, weddings (hopefully) are only a one time thing. Iwan

sdctlc 0 #23 May 26, 2004 Tough call, well not really since the wedding should not be a every year thing like a boogie. Who knows, maybe your Bro will decide the next weekend is best! It would be fun to go for the first half and leave before the BIG weekend but then you wont get the full effect. Go to the weeding have a great time and go to another boogie! LP is getting on the up side of popular boogies again (seems to ebb and flow year to year) Always has been a great time for the Canadians and NW jumpers that go but more and more are showing up! Provided it goes good this year there will be more there next year! I am getting there Friday night of the Big weekend and looking forward to it. I can miss the mid week stuff, even though that is awesome, and still have a smokin good time on Fri night, Sat and Sun!! Good luck with the Wedding and dont worry, I am sure at some point people will give you a thought on a jump!! Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!" GravityGirl 0 #25 May 26, 2004 If you do Rantoul can you drive my RV out for me?!?!? Otherwise, if you are going to stick with Lost Prarie, you might want to hit Mathias up for buddy passes. Horizon flies right into Kalispell. But don't tell him I told you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
