Life insurance? no way!!!!!! Had a skydiving buddy married 5 times I knew 3 of his wifes his divorces were a none event no mixing of assets, he paid for this she paid for that. Time to go bye. Zenister 0 #27 May 26, 2004 absolutely... of course if your really sure she's a complete o2 thieif and totally wrong for someone you've know for ages (who sounds like he's wearing the desperate goggles) simply refuse to take their relationship seriously.. start a betting pool on when the marriage will end, wear a fish tie to the wedding and collect 500$ when you win said pool... of course make sure you use the cash to console your now heart broken friend...____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. freeflir29 0 #28 May 26, 2004 I watched that happen a few years ago. Went back to Clarksville, TN for a couple days. Ironically to go to court with my ex-wife. Stayed at a friends house and met his fiance. I also met most of her immediate family. My SCUMBAG meter was pegged. I mean it was off the trailer park scale! I got my friend alone and I said "I'm just gonna say this and I don't want to discuss it anymore. YOU ARE MAKING A HUGE MISTAKE! and that's all I'm gonna say." Well....turns out when I talked to several mutual friends during my stay I found that they ALL felt the same way. Of course, none of them had the cajones to say anything. Fast forward a couple years........dumbass who didn't bother to listen.....is now divorced and paying child support. JACKASS! You can't run people's lives for them but I also couldn't idly stand by and let him make such a huge mistake without at least saying something. I did and then left him to make his own decisions. My conciense was clear.

My conciense was clear. exactly!.. if you dont tell your friends point blank when they are making what you feel is a stupid decision (marriage, tiny canopy, double gainer into the flower pot) what kind of friend are you really? if they persist with their direction, you have to accept it, you can laugh and say i told you sooo later on, but you'd better be buying the drinks when you do... " I told you so." is my least favorite phrase in the entire world. I've said it far more often than i'd like, but its waaaay better than trying to answer "why didnt you say something if you felt like that??"____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
