juanesky 0 #26 May 27, 2004 You are confusing it with the funnel-web spider. Now, there is a dangerous spider there. By the way, BW as well as Brown recluses can cause death, and both are found on CA."According to some of the conservatives here, it sounds like it's fine to beat your wide - as long as she had it coming." -Billvon

peacefuljeffrey 0 #29 May 27, 2004 QuoteTo put it simply.....all spiders must die!! Let's leave the spiders alone and eradicate the fucking MOSQUITOS!!! I mean really, how bad off could the ecosystem be if mosquitos were extinctified? I think we could absorb the impact ecologically, even if some species of lizard and frog went extinct along with them. ANYTHING to get rid of the monsters we have buzzing around here at the various Florida DZs! Florida mosquitos don't take blood, they take BITES! --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Viking 0 #30 May 27, 2004 Quotehey just because a spider is black doesn't mean its a black widow spider... it was probably just one of the hundreds of kinds of normal black spiders. besides the fact that i can spot one instantly just by the shape of it? freakyrat 1 #31 May 27, 2004 Hey Viking I got bit at work over a year ago by some kind of animal, probably a spider, and maybe it was a brown-recluse. The bite site (Under my left thigh) got real purpleish and I got a staph infection (MRSA) from it. My doctor cleaned and drained it and gave me a prescription of Cipro for it. It bled for about a week. I only lost a bit of outer skin and it healed up. The most painful thing about it was all the shots that I was given around the wound site to deaden it so he could drain it. I still don't know what kind of spider it was and my doctor said it could have been any kind but wasn't a Black Widow. Chris
skydivegirl 0 #32 May 27, 2004 We are living in a new apartment and have recently discovered that we have a spider problem. Most of the ones I have found are Wolf Spiders (I think... brown, kinda big, really fast little bastards). However, I found one the other day that was black with an orange/red stipe on it's back (not underside but actually on it's back). Does anyone know what the hell this was? I tried looking it up online but all I could come up with was a Red Backed Spider that's native to Austrailia (I'm in Tennessee ).Pink Mafia Sis #
ladyskydiver 0 #33 May 27, 2004 **shudder** I HATE spiders!!!! Just had a daddy long legs walk across my desk earlier this morning. **shudder** I didn't realize I could move so fast. Before I knew it, I had flown out of my chair and was standing across the office. UGH!!!! Good thing no one was walking past the office to see it. I'm still having a hard time being in this office - even though I managed to kill the damn thing while shaking the whole time.Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Well its kinda plain and Simple we often invade their territory. Most of the time they eat Bad Bugs so just leave em alone and let em do their thing..As long as they arent taking U over and arent a threat to biting you. I see no harm in them..Just be Wise and keep a careful eye. Good Day.. The glass is half full or half empty doesn't matter. Let go and have the Lord guide your path. He will take care of it all.
