base698 20 #26 May 27, 2004 Doc, the hummingbird, is doing well. He's been eating his insect/sugar water mixture and just took his first flight this morning. We have taken good care of him, although one of packers that is a caretaker threatened to eat him.
turtlespeed 226 #27 May 27, 2004 Quotewe've had calves out the wazoo this spring!!! And lots of other babies too....ducks, geese, chicks, pigs, goats. But I was out watching a mama cow and her little baby about a month ago, and it was the FIRST time that I had ever seen one of them EAT the placenta. I knew they did it, but GYAAAAA!!!! If you've never seen it first hand, it's something that'll stick in your psyche. I'm just glad that we don't have to do that.... BTW....cows have a HUGE placenta Peace~ Lindsey MMMMMM Veal.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
