95389 0 #1 May 1, 2010 need somebody with rigging skills in the san gabriel valley or san fernando valley area,, can also be in the Los Angeles area. i need some simple line work done on my Fox canopy. also a possible alteration on my BASE container. Just looking for a reliable rigger i can drive to withing 20 to 30 minutes tops.. JUST somebody familiar with gear , doesn't have to have BASE experience,, just need somebody reliable and close. i do know this isn't a BASE site. But finding BASE jumpers with rigging equipment are few and far between:espeacially 20 minutes away JUST trying to find somebody with canopy and harness skills i just figured the odds of a skydiving rigger with a loft in SFV or SGV in LA would be good. thank you
 likestojump 3 #2 May 1, 2010 All I can do is suggest driving an extra hour and visiting APEX BASE, who I am sure have more experience and knowledge about your FOX canopy than anyone in the world. Sure if its a BASE harness any guy on the street is technically able to work on it but the knowledge to do it correctly is going to be with a master rigger, not your average senior rigger. Depending on the "line work" you need done you might need to find a specific loft to do the work. Replacing bartacked lines imight require a bar tack machine that not many Master riggers have let alone most field riggers. Master riggers are much fewer then Sr Riggers so its best to work through their loft usually.APEX will work on other rigs also and they really are one of the better options in your area..
