skybytch 273 #1 June 2, 2004 It's an adventure. That's what I'm gonna keep telling myself. Started my day at 5am Pacific time in Perris. Got to Ontario airport and had to rebook since I missed... err blew off my flight on Monday. $150 and 6 hours later I was on a plane for Dallas/Ft Worth. Landed here just before 5pm Central time, expecting a 3 hour layover. We boarded the plane an hour late. Then they told us we got to sit at the gate and wait for the storm cell to pass over. Then they kicked us off the plane and told us to stay close to the gate, we might be reboarding at any time - but they don't know for sure. I was supposed to be arriving in Orlando at 11:30 Eastern, and then it's another hour and a half drive home from there. As of now it looks like I'll be lucky to get home before the sun rises. Is this what I get for saying I didn't really want to go home?
flyangel2 2 #2 June 2, 2004 You love it and you know it. It's all worth it for the fun you had at the boogie. So, stop bitching. Oh wait, that's what you do best, cause you're skybytch Hope you get home safe, take some time to rest and enjoy the memories of all your wonderful friends and your 1000th skydive. Ya know I love ya and miss ya.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
moodyskydiver 0 #3 June 2, 2004 All that crap from DFW that delayed your flight came through here too. Its just now calming down after a couple of hours of power loss, 70mph wind gusts, massive rain/hail/thunderstorms and tornadic activity. We're ok and hopefully the animals braved things ok.So far we're just a little wind damaged at our place but we'll see how bad it is in the morning. "...just an earthbound misfit, I." I woke up in Perris 22 hours ago. I'm going to sleep now.
