Anyone else ever find that there is never a happy medium? Always too cold and then when you cover up or turn on the heat it's too hot.

Car stereo too loud, turn it down a notch and it's too soft lol

What other things do you find like this?

The reason you never remember the "happy medium" is because when you do - you fall asleep.
I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama

For years my buddy Andy and I would drive all over the country going skiing, climbing, mountain biking, etc.

One day, after years of riding in the car with me, Andy just starts screaming at me:

"Damn Mother F&^%$R! Don't you know that there's a range of temperature adjustments? You don't have to switch that knob back and forth from HOT to COLD all the time. Put it in the middle and find the right temperature! Shit."

I hadn't ever realized it before, but Andy was right. I never used the middle of the adjustment range. I always used hot and cold. I simply moved the knob back and forth from one to the other. To this day I don't know why. But, I do use the middle ranges now.

So, I guess what I'm saying is, sometimes we have to learn that there's a happy medium.

I think of all those unnecessary pasteurizations I went through and it makes me smile.
