I'm just exhausted, Mentally as well as physically.

Well, I know how that Goes. I myself push myself until I burn out, crash for 4 days, then go hard at it again. It happens to all of us. Don't be afraid to vent your frusterations here on the Fourms, and know that Your Skydiving Brothers & Sisters will always bend over backwards for you.....:)

Hang tight.........it WILL pass.

Sometimes is not that easy, right now I'm going thru certain circumstances that are really afecting me, not good at all, only time will tell, but.....still, how long?

Sorry, I needed to vent a little.

Sometimes, my friend, it will feel like an eternity....................and you are right - sometimes it's not that easy.

Feeling down huh? A few ideas that work for me.

1. Unsure of the Dunkin Donuts or the Krispy Kreme debate? GO CHECK EM BOTH OUT WITH SOMEONE SPECIAL.

2. Go to a toy store and have a little fun, who cares how old you are? (Im 32 and color on regularly)

3. Tell a friend how much they mean to you.

4. Smile and say hello to strangers.

5. Do something you would not normally do.

This list could go on, hell Im bakeing brownies tonight to take to work in the morning.....no reason, just felt like doing it. SNAP OUT OF WHATEVER IT IS BOTHERING YOU. I know its easier said than done, but worrying or feeling sorry for yourself WILL NOT HELP.

Yep, been there several times, first time I was 24, tried to pull the trigger twice on myself, did not do it because a member of my group shot herself in the heart.

So I started thinking that maybe I needed to do something about the direction of my life and then took steps to change my emotional patterns, thought processes and career. Believe me, when I say this, I lost everything I had, home, car, money and even friends. It was one of the better decisions that I have ever made. Especially since everything I lost has come back to me, including my sanity and happiness.

I have changed careers twice since then, have moved a total of 20 times in my life, in fact just finished a move to a mountain area that I absolutely love and in 7 to 10 years I know that I will retire here.

Every change and move were tough, emotionally I had to detatch from folks that I knew and cared about but, every move made my life and love for live a little bit better.

Good luck in finding your path and your happiness, I am sure you have the courage to find them.

What Slug and BabaLouie said...

I was going thru a very rough period and told a friend of mine that I felt like the world was against me. He told me 'get real, the world doesn't care about YOU...YOU have to care about YOU. The only one against YOU is YOU.'

It may read kind of harsh, but what he was telling me was that I can do anything I want to. Its all up to me. We ALL have bad times, some of those bad spells last longer than others, but that is just life.

If I can get one good day out of a year and remember what I did to get that good day (its usually something I MADE happen, not just something that falls from the sky) it gives me the motivation to keep pushing it and see how many other good days I can get :)
If it seems like things are all piled up...solve ONE problem at a time. You may need to talk to a pro about it but do what you gotta do to start feeling right again. And always remember how many people will miss you if you stepped off. Its all do-able. And I'm willing to tell you if you need to vent...pm me and let 'er rip. I know you don't know me, but I'm a good listener. Best wishes to you!~~April

Hey-
things could ALWAYS be worse dude-
try to be thankful for the things that are good in your life.I am sure you still have a roof over your head, you can still hear, see, smell and breathe right? And perhaps maybe you can afford to jump more than I can-- a broke college student. :)Pop in Fandango--it always makes me laugh.
I wish I could help--maybe meet you and try to make you laugh with my extremely corney jokes.
Hope you feel better!

Anyone else feel the same way? [:/][:/]

Not me:)
But only one day at a time.

I do however have blue moments, they too shall pass,
Usually when I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired. I get up get the shits with myself for being so self pitying and get over it and on with it:))
But the alternatives are pretty permanent[:/]
So fuckit get up and dance or sing:)
You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky)
My Life ROCKS!
How's yours doing?

Hey Kai and Ivan! If I can steal your analogy, I don't think life is a ride - I think it is a whole theme park! B|

If you don't like the ride you're on then hop off and find a new one! Cheesy? perhaps but making a big life change every so often really stops things getting stale. Personally I have been really lucky with my life style and have never lived anywhere more than three years - its all good and just because you move on doesnt mean that you have to leave people behind, just meet some new ones too.:)
After all, all your past life is, is memories - so make them good ones! What makes life worthwhile is having stuff to enjoy, and stuff to look forward to IMHO. So if you find yourself without something to look forward to then its time for a change... :)
Time for a new ride - not time to leave the park.:| How can you leave when there is so much you haven't done?

Not one shred of evidence supports the theory that life is serious - look at the platypus.

Man, I went thru this BIG time. Then I got a phone call from a woman I barely knew. She said she was having a "little" difficulty, and could I help her out? I asked her what her problem was, and it turned out that she and one of her teenage daughters had just started their periods, they had no feminine products or groceries or cash, and the next WIC day wasn't for 3 days. She wanted to know if I could bring some feminine products to her, since she and her daughter couldn't both sit on the toilet at the same time. I forgot to mention that her husband was in jail, (for molesting the kids) she was blind and going deaf, and she had 3 kids. Man did I feel bad! I knew that we weren't the most rich people in our town, but I went and bought her a hundred bucks worth of groceries, and when I delivered them to the really run down apartment building she lived in, I realized that MY problems are a drop in the bucket! I spent the next several years helping her with her family, and it did a tremendous attitude adjustment for me.
My advice, look to help someone else. You will be amazed at what it will do for you.

Thanks for the pick-me ups all!! Im just majorly stressed out and need a little way to vent. I am not going to do anything stupid. Hell, then I couldnt skydive anymore. :)

Its a combination of 65 hour work weeks. Stressing about getting my A and the rest of my gear. And having my SO always on my ASS.

Again, thanks everyone

Yeah. I keep hearing it gets better.
I sat down and thought about it and realized that most of my problems are monetary and then it struck me that if all my problems can be solved with $$$, its really not that bad.
Electricity is overrated anyway. And a ramen diet may not be so healthy but DAMN I am one skinny, hot chickie.
Come out to the firey pits of hell for a few days, its ...cleansing....to say the least.

Just keep swimming...just keep swimming....

Ok well you get pregnant carrying twins and have to give up everything you love, to be safe for them, and sit at home all weekend with your two other kids while the SO goes out and jumps and doesn't care that you need some time alone too, and then we can talk about how rough life is. >:( On top of that add working and having to do all of the housework, and I mean all of it or it wont get done....

Ok so I am pregnant and hormonal and damnit I want to jump so bad, it is really putting me in such a crappy mood....

Now I have heard EVERYTHING. Stressing about your A and gear??? Your A and gear??? I can see work related, family related, but you better not be "stressing" about fucking gear and an A.
