skymama 37 #2 May 25, 2004 It's only fitting that the Cup goes to Tampa Bay. Florida is known for its ice and winter sports. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

EAerodyne 0 #6 May 25, 2004 Seeing we (team Aerodyne) live and work in Tampa, and I come from South Africa, which has even deeper roots with winter sports than FL :-) We are all about the Lightning, leaving those boyz from Calgary in flames. Go the Bolts! Bushman

JokerGirl04 0 #8 May 25, 2004 Have to pipe up and say "Go Flames"..... Normally we're arch enemies of the flames, but seeing as they're the only Canadian team left.....have to root for them Flames in 4 (ok, ok, I can dream)
lawrocket 3 #9 May 26, 2004 Tampa Bay in 6. Get Andreychuk his cup! I'm just pulling up WDAE radio to listen to it here at work. I love the crazy psychos who call the Tampa Bay games. tinfoil 0 #12 May 26, 2004 Calgary in 4... 4-1! And when the flames take the cup, I plan on boogieing on up to Calgary to watch that city burn, because the fans are going to tear it apart “- - Sumo is the greatest of sports. It has power, grace, speed and cluture. And most importantly, two fat bastards smacking the shit out of each other. ”
lawrocket 3 #13 May 26, 2004 Hmmm. I watched the last half of the second period, which confirmed the radio calls. Quite simple - TB choked. Khabibulin was pretty soft. So was the rest of the team. How the hell does a shorthanded player get his own rebound from a breakaway behind the net and score? Why wasn't Iginla crunched before it got that far? Because TB choked. They choked. Hopefully they'll calm down tomorrow. If not, their in deep doo doo. My wife is hotter than your wife.

I guess we weren't watching the same game? What I saw was one of the best players in the world (Iggy) make an unbelievable play to stop, retrieve the puck and shoot the puck into the net at a super sharpe angle and all this while avoiding the brunt of the check by the so called guilty party on Tampa Bay who chocked. Calgary wanted this game more and were willing to work for it. Don't forget that the Flames beat Vancouver, Detroit and San Jose (all 100+ point teams) to get to where they are. Up 1-0 in the finals. Slappie 9 #15 May 26, 2004 The Flame are for real guys. Don't count them short. They have something alot of teams don't have this year.. They've got HEART and Talent. TB will make a series out of it no doubt. But the Flames will win it in the end. lawrocket 3 #17 May 26, 2004 Yeah, we were watching the same game (note: I think Iginla is THE BEST player in the world right now). But, there's no excuse for being on the power play and not being able to put a body on the guy. A super sharp angle? Yes. Low and sideways. Iginla should have never gotten a breakway. And he sure as hell should not have gotten away clean for a second shot. My wife is hotter than your wife.
larskjargaard 0 #18 May 26, 2004 You said it my friend. They've come a long way, have a lot of heart, win those little puck battles, finish their checks and are willing to do what ever it takes including the d-line standing in front of shots no matter how hard or far out they are comming from. Cow town is going to be fucking crazy.
SkyDekker 1,465 #19 May 26, 2004 They are not my Senators, but certainly my second favourite team.....GO FLAMES GO. Iginla is without a doubt the best all round hockey player in the world right now. Calagry in

Tonight's game should be awesome...the Lightning are going to come out strong and desperate to avoid an 0-2 hole. So, we shall see if the Flames can take two on the road..again. I won't be at all surprised if they do. They are playing with heart, desire and poise. Pendragon 1 #21 May 27, 2004 I just think it's great that two teams who were going nowhere not that long ago have made it to the Stanley cup final! Wish I'd seen the game, but they show it in the UK starting at around 01:30 (and I need to get up for work!) Yeah, I know, that's what DVD/VHS recorders are made for... but it's not the same. -- BASE #1182 Muff #3573 PFI #52; UK WSI #
