seekfun 0 #2 June 3, 2004 Tink1717, I agree with you there buddy. I spent Friday and Saturday jumping and then almost got killed on the drive home by a wayward coyote that jumped out in the road. I will say, however, that the VW Jetta held to the road well. I know you're supposed to just hit the animal and not kill yourself swerving. But, the car is new and I thought it was a quadruped child...er...never mind. Had I crashed, it would have been my fault. - topher "...there is a there out there..." - Tom Robbins
seekfun 0 #3 June 3, 2004 Tink, You'll have to do a little research, but I think there's a law on the books that very clearly stipulates the following: Whenever a collision of two motor vehicles results in the damage of precious skydiving bumper stickers or personalized license plates, the vehicle to which these items are fastened shall be considered a total loss. - topher "...there is a there out there..." - Tom Robbins

pilotdave 0 #8 June 3, 2004 That blows! Where'd it happen? Coming back from cross keys? That's what ya get for jumping on a weekday! Dave
Tink1717 2 #9 June 4, 2004 What happened was: I was going home after jumping at X-keys (did 5 awesome jumps, all freefly) I was headed west on 322. It had just finished raining about ten mins earlier. Traffic was stopped at a construction flag man. I was stopped. The Dodge Ram 1500, didn't stop. He skidded/hydroplaned all the way into me and three others. I heard him skid, saw him in the mirror, watched him come all the way in. The actual hit wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it was bad enough. Anyway, the INS guy is coming tomorrow at 1100, We'll see what happens then. I also have the number of a very greedy ambulance chasing lawyer, just in case the INS co. wants to be a dick.Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway...
