dropzone.com™ @ Rantoul

Recommended Posts

As my continuing effort in the of solicitation for funds for the tent at WFFC 2004, I offer the following information/update:

We will be across the road from Drop Zone Row, across the little road from the Alabama Gang, in a 60' x 30' tent, the same size Mirage had last year. Those of you who were at the first convention in Rantoul will be familiar with the location as it is where we were that year except we will be in a tent three times as large as we had then. Primo location.

This tent costs $795 and we will need funds to purchase chairs/couches/etc to make our little home away from home a home. I will be begging until we get enough contributions to cover the tent (just like last year) then I will shut up and leave you in peace.

As of this posting, I have received approximately 1/3 of what we need. A good start but I need your help to put this issue to bed.

Come play with us in Rantoul and NO, you do NOT need to contribute to the tent to use it, it is being provided for all dotcommers to have a place to meet and hang. I will certainly appreciate your help and so will your fellow netizens.

If you have any other questions, please PM me.

I can bring the wireless access point if no one already has one...

That's already been covered (in depth) by billvon, Phreezone and WFFC. See my other thread for details.

All I have to say is that if you are going to lay around on your lazy asses all day on the couches under the tent, you better have given to this fund or donated some part of the infrastructure. I have my own vendor tent to maintain, have to pay gas up and back in my dually/RV combo, but I still gave fifty bucks to the dropzone.com tent fund.

If Jack loses so much money that he won't be able to afford to purchase the tent next year, I don't want to hear a bunch of whining about how y'all had no place to get some shade in the hottest month of the year!

If you can afford to travel to WFFC and jump, you can afford to pitch in for the tent if you're planning on being under it.

Sunny gets paid today. You'll receive some snail mail prolly on monday.

The way you were camping out on our only couch last year you should be charged rent, not make a donation! :P

Contribution, dear sir.;)

"Donation" implies a charitable act imnsho, and just like "this ain't no democracy", I ain't running no charity!

Though for Sunny I might make an exception. . .

Btw, we are now at approximately 41% of our goal.

okay guys i felt guilty as i missed out on contributing to the tent in 2002 so i contributed again for this year.... so if you plan on being there lets help get this wraped up and out of jack's wory list.... it is really a genourus thing he is doing to front the money for this!!!!!!!! what's a measly 20 or 40 (even more if ya want) out of your wffc budget.......if everyone pitches in it will just be that much better for us all....

How about a paypal account ??

See the first post in this thread for the link.

Edit to add -- Oops! I really did mean to have the links there, really I did!

Here's what is missing from there -- Rev Jim has the links in his thread but I will add them here as well. Those of you who use Paypal can click here; if you wish to send your contribution directly to me you may click here to PM me for details.

And thanks, Wingnut.

I interrupt your long holiday weekend (at least here in the US) to bring you breaking news - - we have now passed the 50% mark. Just barely, like $2, but passed it none the less.

Thanks to all those who have contributed so far and for the rest, I am waiting with bated breath to hear from you.

If we meet or exceed our goal I promise to have some very nice extras in the tent this year. . .

Extra thanks once again to those who have contributed yet will not be attending WFFC -- you folks really rock.

Update time good people: We currently stand at 51% of our goal. Not bad, but not great. Please contribute, folk, and let me put this issue to bed for the year.

Those of you who use Paypal can click here; if you wish to send your contribution directly to me you may click here to PM me for details.

I will say that there are several people who have made multiple contributions already, and I am very grateful for that. No amount is too small (or too large, for that matter;)) and will be used to help all dz.community members have a blast in Rantoul.

Can I hear something from you soon?
