jceman 1 #1 May 16, 2004 As my continuing effort in the of solicitation for funds for the tent at WFFC 2004, I offer the following information/update: We will be across the road from Drop Zone Row, across the little road from the Alabama Gang, in a 60' x 30' tent, the same size Mirage had last year. Those of you who were at the first convention in Rantoul will be familiar with the location as it is where we were that year except we will be in a tent three times as large as we had then. Primo location. This tent costs $795 and we will need funds to purchase chairs/couches/etc to make our little home away from home a home. I will be begging until we get enough contributions to cover the tent (just like last year) then I will shut up and leave you in peace. As of this posting, I have received approximately 1/3 of what we need. A good start but I need your help to put this issue to bed. Come play with us in Rantoul and NO, you do NOT need to contribute to the tent to use it, it is being provided for all dotcommers to have a place to meet and hang. I will certainly appreciate your help and so will your fellow netizens. If you have any other questions, please PM me. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

SkymonkeyONE 4 #6 May 18, 2004 All I have to say is that if you are going to lay around on your lazy asses all day on the couches under the tent, you better have given to this fund or donated some part of the infrastructure. I have my own vendor tent to maintain, have to pay gas up and back in my dually/RV combo, but I still gave fifty bucks to the dropzone.com tent fund. skymama 37 #9 May 20, 2004 If Jack loses so much money that he won't be able to afford to purchase the tent next year, I don't want to hear a bunch of whining about how y'all had no place to get some shade in the hottest month of the year! If you can afford to travel to WFFC and jump, you can afford to pitch in for the tent if you're planning on being under it.She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

"Donation" implies a charitable act imnsho, and just like "this ain't no democracy", I ain't running no charity! Though for Sunny I might make an exception. . . jceman 1 #22 May 30, 2004 I interrupt your long holiday weekend (at least here in the US) to bring you breaking news - - we have now passed the 50% mark. Just barely, like $2, but passed it none the less. Thanks to all those who have contributed so far and for the rest, I am waiting with bated breath to hear from you. If we meet or exceed our goal I promise to have some very nice extras in the tent this year. . . Extra thanks once again to those who have contributed yet will not be attending WFFC -- you folks really rock. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. jceman 1 #24 June 4, 2004 Update time good people: We currently stand at 51% of our goal. Not bad, but not great. Please contribute, folk, and let me put this issue to bed for the year. Those of you who use Paypal can click here; if you wish to send your contribution directly to me you may click here to PM me for details. I will say that there are several people who have made multiple contributions already, and I am very grateful for that. No amount is too small (or too large, for that matter) and will be used to help all dz.community members have a blast in Rantoul. Can I hear something from you soon?
