Vertifly 0 #1 June 7, 2004 Ever give a nice gift to yourself? A friend in business says, "If your doing well, it's a good idea to take a piece of the success and turn it into a reward." Good advice I think. When I was about 20 and in college, I used to treat myself to a Wendy's burger and shake for a grade of B or better. LOL By dipping into the good old tax-refund this year, that is what I did - except on a larger scale. After my first year in business I gave the following gift to myself... Of course, it will never hold a candle to the real thing, but it looks absolutely beautiful in my living room. You guys/gals ever do this? I tend to reward myself with domestic luxuries after working particularly hard. EG I have my Nigeria Spectre, the Khazakhstan Javelin, the Texas Audi, the Cormorant beer fridge, etc. The next time I chuck the popcorn into my Mobil microwave (that job was actually at the bottom of a concrete shaft, below the seabed in the middle of the North Sea!), I smile and think it was all worthwhile.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
