Regan dies

Recommended Posts

When Ronald Reagan was president, I was too young to understand politics. But I was one of the privlaged youth that had someone great to look up to and believe in. Every image I have of him from my childhood is one of great respect. Because of him, I remember saying to my parents many times that I wanted to be the president when I grew up. Regardless of your political standing, this man was a great leader and a great role model. I was very sad to hear the news.

Eternal blue skies, Mr. President.

My grandfather was friends with him, and thought I never got to meet him myself, he always told me about how good a man Reagan was.

Cheers to a great president and a great man passed on. Farewell, Mr. President.

(Any military men or women here, throw in a salute for me, I'm civilian and it wouldn't be right. Thanks.)

Our DZO made the announcement when she learned of it, and we were all busy jumping...

so I replied with:

I wonder if he knew he was dead, or did someone have to remind him??!!:D:D:P

Reagan was the first president I *remember* and life wasn't all that bad under his terms. Since then - well, that's a different story, but clueless or not - his presidency was both good and bad, but WAY more good then those of late.

So, I say - cheers to you, Ronnie!:)
