Just upgraded my comp!

Recommended Posts

So after approx. 4 years of suffering with my craplon 400 (pieced it together with all used componets) I finally broke down and shelled out for some upgrades.....not to dis my old comp too much...but the word PIG comes to mind......

Got a P4 2.8@800,512cache / asus board@800 / stick of 512@400 / WD 80gig SATA HD.....oooh and a used case with a new 430 watt PS. :)
What a freaking differance!!!....duh...still setting it up...work,lack of time at home and the g/f have hampered my play time with the new machine...and hopefully the forcast for excellent weather will keep me from it all weekend!!!

Sorry...just had to brag......anyone wana buy a craplon 400,soyo board and 256 ram@133?......kidding....the craplon actually is faster than the g/f's store bought HP 700:S

Throw Linux on that old PC! Hell, I have a 386 here with BSD running on it as my firewall and gateway. It works like a champ and is quite fast, too. God help me if I ever need spare parts for it though.:D
