FAA TO ESTABLISH TFRs (Temporary Flight Restrictions) OVER BUSH RANCH, HOUSTON THIS WEEKEND

The FAA is expected to issue a notam that will expand Prohibited Area P-49 beginning Friday, June 11, for President Bush's visit to his ranch. He is also slated to make a side trip to Houston Saturday evening.

Based on best information at this time, along with notams that have already been issued, the president will arrive in Waco at 2:50 p.m.
local on Friday and stay at the ranch in Crawford. The president is scheduled to head to Waco again at 5:30 p.m. local on Saturday for his trip to Houston. He arrives back in Waco at 11 p.m. local that same
night. He is scheduled to stay at the Crawford ranch until approximately 10 a.m. local on Sunday, June 13.

The TFR Notam for Houston will shut down Spaceland for jumping on Saturday during the time it is in effect

Spaceland or SD Houston? Guess I could open the NOTAM...... I thought he would be flying into Bush (IAH)?

Edit to add: Yep, Spaceland is inside the TFR. Although, we won't be shut down all day. We're good until 3:30 pm local time Saturday....

Whats funny is, Aggieland will be flying all freak'n weekend, no TFR and this is where the big to-do is.

Anyone know how this is going to affect the CASA boogie at Granbury? I'm a bit worried now... But I'll still be there.

Granbury is fairly far north of the TFR. But just to check, if your airport/DZ identifier is one of these, you are NOT affected?
