Help me pick an XBox game

Recommended Posts

I have not played prince of persia, but have heard it's phenomenal.

I rented Deus Ex, and it was fun but i didnt get that far into it before i had to return it.

A friend of mine that loves RPGs has Morrowind and loves it.

You could try renting em and deciding then.

I'd recommend Splinter Cel, Halo, Splinter Cel 2, the max payne games, among others. Some of these you can get for 20 bucks.

LOVE Morrowind. . .It is very involved and there is a lot to developing your character. Nice graphics too.

go with morrowind on pc, the xbox version has a few annoying bugs from what i've read. and the 3rd party plugins for pc make a big difference in reducing the nuisance factor.

Been reading reviews and think I'm going with Morrowind.

Gonna go with xbox though. I never played games on my pc because I would get sick of sitting hunched over the keyboard. You have to buy a new damn controller for every game unless you just want to use the mouse. And I have a 34" wide screen Sony Wega XBR with a kick ass sound system. Much nicer to kick back on the couch and play than on the PC.

oh, and i think they have a new version of morrowind for xbox with the expansion packs out. i think you can get the old version for like 20 bucks.

Yeah, they do, it's been out since last fall. I always buy my games used from the Game Spot. It's great, they're always in perfect condition with the manuals and just over half the price of a new one. Plus I can see them back for $10 less than I bought them for.

You'll probably still like it on xbox.

IMO the world has never rivalled the 3-tuple (keyboard, mouse, joystick) in terms of control. I have a PS2 and I'm invariably frustrated by the small number of buttons. For large screens / sounds I route the outputs of my PC to my analog equipment... As for hunching over I solved that problem with this

I'm hooked on the direct input mapping provided by a mouse. Vector mapping control devices like the analog joysticks on the PS2 controller make me feel nauseous pretty quickly... To each his own, I guess.
