Right now I just feel like I will never find the guy I really want--lately I have these dreadful thoughts that someday I will have to settle, for some guy who wears khakis and plays golf. Anybody else feel like the type of person they want doesn't even exist? Perhaps I'll just stay single the rest of my life. I mean, how hard can it be? There's plenty of these sort of guys hanging around the DZs or some exit point (well at least the adventurous types are there). Do not settle for just anyone. Especially the golfing types who are hung up on their image and the status of their bank accounts. Get some skydiving experience, get licensed and then start travelling to the different DZs and boogies. You know you'll be able to choose from many many many different men as the ratio of men to women in the jumping world favors the females. I too still have a void in my life. But I try to fill it by doing stuff I enjoy doing and it takes my mind off of the void. Some day I may meet a girl who I like and who likes me. But I'm not going to put my life on hold while I wait to meet her as it could very well not happen or at least not happen for many many moons. Take care, be happy and try to live each day to it's fullest. There are so many cool things out there in the world to explore. You should be happy that you are young, single and skydiving! Besides, what is wrong with being single? Is it common practice in Oklahoma to marry too young? I am single and turn 33 on Saturday, but I am very happy with myself and my life. I have even turned down marriage proposals in the past because I felt that it was not the right time for me to settle down. Meeting and settling down with someone is dependent on various life/personality factors, and it differs for each and every person on earth. I predict that when you are happy and fulfilled with yourself, your positive energy will draw men to you like moths to a light. Go out and experience life...make yourself happy, and you will be just fine. Even if you don't understand what I mean now, you will when you mature a little more.
