vt1977 0 #53 June 14, 2004 0:0:0 But a fun weekend regardless! The skies were big and blue and the sun was shining over Netheravon… but I really had to be disciplined and not spend any money! I packed all weekend and can now afford to team train all next weekend and compete the weekend after that! Vicki

Dumpster 0 #55 June 14, 2004 0:0:0 I actually didn't jump this weekend - Did yardwork all day Saturday, then took the bike out for a ride late Saturday afternoon. Went to the DZ Sunday only to be greeted by high winds. So I took one for the team. Called up a certain little lady and asked her if she wanted to go see a movie. As soon as I got home and got her on the bike, I get a call from the DZ thanking me for leaving 'cuz now they could jump. Your welcome!! I might show my face around Hinckley this coming weekend - Anybody wanna bellyfly with me?? Easy Does It
ryand96 0 #56 June 14, 2004 0:7:0 The weather finally cleared on Saturday and after a late start I got 4 jumps in. Sunday morning brought some high winds and we just hung out until they died down. Got 3 really fun RW jumps in later, including a 12 way speed star. I was 11th out the door and I was the 6th in. That was fun.

ryand96 0 #58 June 14, 2004 Thanks, Lenny. I appreciate it. Someone had to do it. I'm just glad it wasn't me. I was definitely thinking about it though. I'm glad I stuck around. Hopefully next weekend will be perfect. We need it.
kelel01 1 #59 June 14, 2004 0:4:0 4 jumps with my makeshift (as of right now) 4-way team. They were very fun, if not incredibly productive. But due to a weather hold, we spent a lot of time on creepers learning positions. I also got pied like no one has been pied before, then thrown in the 3-foot-deep kiddie pool our DZO bought. And oh yes, it was all on video. It looked like I had no head-- just a giant marshmallow on top of my neck. Kelly

wildblue 7 #61 June 14, 2004 ø : 4 : 0 Couple of really cool jumps, many miles put on the bike (I need to quit getting caught in thunderstorms though, even if it is a kind of fun), some free food (thanks Lee!) and some amazing displays of human contortions around the bonfire. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
carbonezone 0 #62 June 14, 2004 QuoteWth? More sheep references? Secret message in code for Clay? I will reveal the Baaaa Baaaaa thing Sheena had somewhat of an undesirable landing last weekend (face plant). I ran over to her and she was holding her nose and spitting stuff our of her mouth . I asked her to please give me a big smile (I was afraid she might have lost some teeth) . Sheena being the charming women that she is BLASTED me a GREAT BIG SMILE......."her teeth were COVERED with GRASS" ! I lost it....it was so damn funny (of course she was fine) Anyway.....she is now nicknamed Goat (with lots of love). Hell, we don't need to cut the grass when Goat Girl is in action <> Tami PS: Clay has already heard and responded to Sheena's BAAAA BAAAA

vdschoor 0 #64 June 14, 2004 0:12:1 Lots of driving this weekend, Saturday started in Byron, 4 jumps and then drove down to Hollister for some more jumps with the chicks (Chickway day in Hollister) Sunday morning was an early wake-up and we drove back to Byron, where I did my scariest skydive ever. A tandem jump with Deuce as the tandem instructor (to be) The scary part was not that Deuce was in control, it was me not beeing in control 1 fun 4 way RW jump, and the rest of the jumps were tandem videos. PhreeZone 20 #66 June 14, 2004 2 medals won this weekend:9:3 Freedom of Flight and Jimmy Tranter rock. I invited Jimmy to the DZ to do a canopy course. At almost 800 jumps and having done lots of HP landings I thought I was understanding things. Yeah right! I got schooled more in those 5 jumps then I thought I could be schooled in a weekend. Jimmy was most professional and I learned a lot from him the whole weekend. I highly recommend taking a canopy course as soon as possible no matter your experience level! Sport accuracy comp this weekend at the DZ, I got third place and second place as a team. Only landed about 3/4 mile off on the last one and I still won Over all I made 2 Casa hop and pops, 2 Cessna hop and pops, 2 Westwind hop and pops, 1 full altitude Westwind and a full altitude Casa. Had a LOT of fun playing with Spy38w under canopy. 10 pounds lead and things will be VERY nice Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Deuce 1 #67 June 14, 2004 Nice avatar, Biotch. Lots: Uh, 8 practice tandems, 6 videos, 4 or 5 fun jumps: First tandems, took up Pookie, two Jens, Vic, Ingrid and Iwan the Videoscooter, did my solo and was a passenger. First tethered parachute kiting experience, got 20 feet or so up twice with only mild road rash. Anybody got pictures of that fiasco? Moto? It was cool. I love my DZ. Almost got to do my first real AFF instructor gig with Skye and MadJohn, but she got too busy dubbing video.
Deuce 1 #68 June 14, 2004 QuoteA tandem jump with Deuce as the tandem instructor (to be) The scary part was not that Deuce was in control, it was me not beeing in control Wait, I thought YOU were in control. Scariest part was being winded out with all you knuckleheads holding on to that harness with me in the air and all the chicks screaming "HIGHER!" while spilling beer and laughing from the golf cart. The mostest scariest part was Connie offering to let TallGuy use an old tandem canopy so he could kite higher. Winded out skydivers are the only creatures more dangerous than 2nd Lt's with compasses.
