ACMESkydiver 0 #1 June 14, 2004 What would it have? I mean the ultimate DZ? Here's some things I'm putting on my list: Different landing areas for newer or saner jumpers, and then the psycho swoopers can have some place away from us... A sleeping porch. Gotta have that for those nights when we've had a lil' too much to go home... Bonfire pit. Oh yeah. Cafe with an open porch that looks out onto the landing areas. Pub onsight, again overlooking the landing areas. Needs to be somewhere south...MUST be a year 'round climate for jumping. And I just SO love palm trees! Covered packing areas. Covered, cement area for creepers so we could dirt dive, like, a 10-way minimum. Video editing station. Gift shop stuff...every DZ has to have some branded T-shirts and crap like that. And planes. Lots of planes. Big planes. Fast planes. Pretty planes. LOTS of outs... Like near soccer fields or pastures or something. So what else? What would the ultimate DZ have? ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
kelel01 1 #2 June 14, 2004 Super fast jump plane (like a Super King Air) and one with a big door (Otter or tailgate plane). Then you could choose based on your particular jump's needs. Bunkhouse. Air conditioned packing area. FLAT landing area (no potholes or hills). RV hookups. And LOTS of fun people, especially other chicks! Kelly
ACMESkydiver 0 #3 June 14, 2004 Oh more, more: BIG flat screen TV for video reviewing...and an X-Box for when we're on weather hold... And showers. Must have some place to clean up and head to work if need-be! And a big dog. Must have a DZ dog. Mmm-hmmm....so what else? Anyone? ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

ACMESkydiver 0 #5 June 14, 2004 RV hookups, and BBQ & picnic tables and stuff... Oh, need equipment for night jumps. And some reeeeally cool windsocks that you can SEE really well from the air... OH!!! And off-road golf carts!!! Yeah! That'd be cool. And at least a couple of packers hanging around all the time...I HATE to pack... And a really good manifest chick that knows what she's doing...or he, whatever...~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. Other than that requirement, you just desribed Skydive Chicago. I'll have to come visit someday. OHHH!!! You know what no one else has?? OMG, I dreamed about this...a retractable BASE tower. No joke, it could work!!! I know some engineers...it could happen!! Yeah, platform would have to have the ability to lower to say 30 feet to keep OUT of the way for air traffic when not needed...yeah, then it could raise up from the center to 700 feet or so. That'd be good enough for base jumpers... yeah, and at the top, it would have to have 2 platforms extending in opposite directions, so you could have 2 people at once...it would have to have a safety ladder that raises and lowers with the platform (the whole thing would telescope up and down) yes! That would be fun to watch...I am NOT a BASE jumper and never will be, but I do know a few people that have that kind of interest. And it has to have an American flag at the top and lots of flashing lights...and lights all the way up the sides so people can see it... And a wind tunnel!!! Yep, must have a wind tunnel...~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.

piisfish 140 #11 June 14, 2004 you forgot the nice people to jump with, the swoop park, the top-class free coaching and organising... and why do you want nice places to land out, the landing area is HUUUGE and the pilots spot perfectly...scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM
ACMESkydiver 0 #12 June 14, 2004 Alrighty then, I'll have to check out Perris, too...but this is for the ultimate DZ...so what else? Ooo! Massage chairs! Yes, very nice... -And does Perris have X-Box?? That's a requirement for the ultimate DZ...~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. Yes, very important! Perfect spots, big landing areas, and places for swoopers to swoop freely. Much fun! Oh geez, I almost forgot beach landings! Yeah, have to have a spot to land on the beach right next to the water... And it needs to be hot air balloon friendly too. I have a friend that owns a hot air balloon, and one of these days I'll convince her to throw us out of it! ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. Of course, the 54 degree weather does have something to do with it... Ok I'm adding a pool, since it will be in Southern California. Oh, and real important to be wayyyy out of the way of any int'l airport traffic.
