WFFC seminars

Recommended Posts

Attend as many seminars as possible. Usually they are around 7pm and last an hour. You can attend them and still do the entertainment stuff with no conflicts. You can learn stuff before you encounter it in the air.

It makes more sense when you avoid problems rather than merely learning to resolve them. This is especially true for a sport where the problems will f-up your health record.

It also help in skills advancement. It is better to have someone with 8000 jumps teach you something rather than doing 500 jumps incorrectly and then learning it. B|

You also get to meet some amazing people. :)

I agree as well. Last year I attended a beginner freefly seminar that gave me some good tips and good drills to work on during solos.:)

That is exactly what I mean. A person can be aware of possible skills problems and establish a plan to learn the skills properly. This puts them miles ahead of the person who stumbles through it.

Think of how much better the skydives were. Doing stuff right is more fun too.

"Umm...no Johnny, you can't hold my balloon." ;)
All the people with No2 have to sit in a certain area so that they can be properly aligned on the ground when they fall over.

The flick of crack lighters was too distracting so I think it will just be "mushrooms-only" during a few of the seminars this year. :D

You know, that's what Nancy really meant years ago when she said "Just say NO." Hey, BTW, isn't nitrous oxide just NO, not NO2? Who's a chemist in the crowd? I think NO2 would form Nitric Acid in your lungs, probably be a pretty harsh toke.

Actually 9:00 P.M. - They'll be posted on the Calendar as the details are known. Airspeed will be doing 2 seminars this year and the Golden Knights generally do one too. Also, swooping, birdman, more.

What is NO2? Is that the stuff they use at the dentist office and call it 'laughing gas'?

Yep. It's also not really a good idea, like most everything else. :D Problems have occurred when people mix and match their choices for the evening. Best to stick with the libations provided and be safe. :)

i hope none of you inhale NO or NO2, since it is air pollution, and can cause Nitric Acid in your lungs.

N2O is the stuff you want. Nitrous Oxide means 2 N's, and 1 O. now that stuff is fun fun fun.

sorry bout the geek stuff, but i made a lot of weird chemicals with stolen bottles from my chem labs. ;)

I don't care if you drink beer in my wingsuit seminar. Just bring enough for me.

Chuck

The rule of common courtesy applies here now. I recall a sign just inside the door that either said no food/drink or no smoking. one of the two or both. just don't be a pig and make a mess and there won't be a problem. and most of all, pick up after your sloppy ass self.
btw, chuck - need the seminar blurb for the calendar.
