Evelyn 0 #1 June 18, 2004 I have two kids, a son & a daughter, both great kids and I'm close to both of them, but my son and I have a special bond and my husband and my daughter have the same bond. My kids are grown, (well kind of...college students) but it's been this way since they were little. I've thought that it's because my son is like me , more serious not real outgoing, and my daughter is like her dad, very sociable and outgoing. My mom and I are close too, but my dad and I are probably closer, because even though I see more things eye-to-eye with my mom, my dad and I respect each other, whereas with my mom, she still sees me as a little girl. Thanatos340 1 #5 June 18, 2004 I have a daughter (Named Evelyn Coincidentally) and we have a very close bond. My daughter’s interests have always been closer to mine than her mothers. We got involved in racing NHRA Junior Dragsters when she was 8 and she has always loved fast cars. Now she is very active in the local community theater (another passion that we share.) Her mother has always wanted her get involved in Softball and/or Cheerleading, Something my daughter is just not interested in. My daughter is definitely more like me than her mother (I am not so sure that is a good thing sometimes.. ) and I think that is why we are so close, We understand each other.. Around the sixth grade, however, something snapped - perhaps a synapse - and I started interacting with both parents more. Now that I'm 12 (29), I am a little closer to my Dad because we are so alike. We share interests and hobbies and we're both geeks at heart.
