My boss almost hit me!!!!

Recommended Posts

I almost got into a wreck with my boss!!!!

Here's the story: he lives in the suburbs and never drives downtown. I drive downtown frequently (especially on Fridays because I don't go home on Fridays), so I'm used to people doing stupid things. Apparently, he was lost and confused (it happens to people who never drive in the city), and he was looking for a parking lot. The first one he sees, he decides to swerve across three lanes to get to. I'm in the far right lane because I know where I'm going, and I have to turn soon. I see "some moron" try to kill me, so I slammed on my brakes, and we missed hitting each other by a few inches. I look at the driver and think, "Is that Sajjad?????"

Sure enough, my boss came in two hours early, drove in, and nearly hit my car. I tried to tell him I was traumatized from the incident and that I should go home. He's not buying it.

A couple of month ago I saw my boss act like a complete twat and maliciously cut someone up in traffic causing them to have to go through a red light and get ticketed for it. I saw his face and he had this evil roadrage stare thing going on. He didn't see me. I wondered if I should bring it up with him and use it in some way but couldn't be bothered in the end.

Odd cos in the office he's really nice.

Was your boss embarased for what he did?

Oh yeah. Especially because he's the "Pricing Supervisor for the Central Region." We work in the auto insurance industry, so we should know better! :D He also said that that's why he never drives. He always has his wife drive.

:D I haven't been called that since I was 21! Thanks for making me feel young again! Actually, I was never home on Friday because I'd either be in OH or Merrillville. I guess I'm just used to not being home on Fridays now, so I avoid it at all costs! (I'm going to the dz most likely...I wouldn't count that as me being a party girl. [:/])

No, just mean and heartless! :D I'm in shock and still traumatized. I need to leave!

This explains my exorbitant rates despite the fact that I haven't had an accident or a ticket since I was 16 years old.

It's a damn inside job. The insurance people themselves are filing claims and driving up the rates.

It's a conspiracy!!!!

I think you should pleed whiplash from the instantanious stop you were forced to make - thus you have to go get a sky massage & leave VERY early.
(oh, & don't forget to take me w/ you ;))

There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear.

Darn it!!! Why do I never come up with the best excuses when I need them??? He felt really bad, though, because I apparently had a shocked look on my face. My road rage is getting much better, though, and I (luckily) didn't flip him off like I used to do to people who do stupid things like that.

yea, me too, now I just make a face, stick my tounge out & do crazy gestrues (no finger though[:/])

It prob is a good thing you have been working on this & did not offend your boss - you can get a ticket for flipping someone the bird (I belive anyway).
