ACMESkydiver 0 #1 June 19, 2004 GREAT NEWS!!!! My little brother is gonna pop the question tomorrow to his girlfriend!!!! OH MY GAWD!!!! I never thought the day would come....I'm so excited I don't know what to do with myself! I'm gonna be on pins and needles all day tomorrow!! This is SOO COOL!!! So I'm stoked about the prospect of a new sister-in-law and nephew (yes she has a little boy, and I am just so proud of my little bro for wanting to take on the responsibility of 'daddy' as well as husband...) Geez the set up is gonna be sooo romantic...he's gonna ask her on the over look to the biggest waterfalls in Washington state tomorrow night! ...What about you?? Geez this is hard to keep to myself!!!!~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
bertusgeert 1 #2 June 19, 2004 HAhah, I know what your saying. I just "lost" my sister a few weeks ago. She is older, but she is my "little" sister in many aspects. I didnt know when how and where the proposal would be, but i knew it was coming. Well, she probably knew as well, but the guy faked Very well and ended up surprising her. I'm ver happy for her, and now i'm next in line. I dont think it will happen any time soon, if at all. --------------------------------------------- As jy dom is moet jy bloei! SeaKev 0 #3 June 19, 2004 1. Track down ACME's brother 2. Kidnap him and give him time to come to his senses. 3. Run like hell, 'cause I'm about to catch the wrath of the red-headed one. Seriously, that's cool, Jaye.
piisfish 140 #4 June 19, 2004 I helped a friend of mine, sold him a ticket to the Maldives so he could join her there (she was there for work for a week or so)... I kept the secret, he came back happy, she said yes... The wedding was planned for a few months later... Unfortunately he discovered she also accepted the proposal from someone else and she was changing engagement rings depending on who she was seeing... now all 3 are single...scissors beat paper, paper beat rock, rock beat wingsuit - KarlM

And you better run fast...I've got wheels... We finally made an honest man of him..."What ACME has joined, let NO MAN put asunder." Quote Seriously, that's cool, Jaye. damion75 0 #7 June 19, 2004 Knew about it, kept it a secret... in fact I think just about everyone on the DZ knew about it apart from the proposee. Friend of mine planned for ages to propose in the air, it took about a month to get everything right, the right people there, the right weather, to convince her to come up with us (she is a 'shy' skydiver and never wants to risk 'screwing it up' for the rest of us - although when she jumps she is fine! hasn't screwed one yet, but I digress) He and I did a two way during the day to check his drills with the bit of paper (which he had upside down!) and then finally the jump was on. She almost backed out when we invited her up on the 8-way with camera but chilled when we said we were just going to do a high grips star... didnt suspect anything when we hired a camera even though two guys were flying their own in the star. The pilot, CCI, manifest (obviously camera guy) and all of us knew, along with about 1/2 the DZ!! Anyway, it went really well and there was no doubt about her response!! Not many girls actually get to turn cartwheels of joy when they are proposed to but she did!! We hung around on 1/2 brakes waiting for her to land and then came in around her to congratulate them, and I told her she owed beers for her first proposal in freefall!! She said fair ehough, but so did the guy - I said it wasnt his first time since he already proposed to me that afternoon, and she was lucky that I had turned him down! Ah - happy days...*************** Not one shred of evidence supports the theory that life is serious - look at the platypus.
ACMESkydiver 0 #8 June 20, 2004 That's a cool proposal...but so was this one....>sigh<... HEY EVERYONE, SHE SAID 'YES'!!!!!! ...of course she would, this is my blood we're talkin' about... The set up was cool...my daughter and I were enlisted by my sister to help set up everything and we gladly agreed...wildflowers at the proposal site (A big window seat in an up-scale swanky bar that over looks the water falls)...then the room they got afterwards...we had rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bed, we had gormet chocolates in a candy dish on the coffee table, a bottle of champagne chilling on ice in a silver bucket next to it, about 50 pink and white balloons blown up and thrown all over the loft bedroom, floating rose candles and rose petals in the bath with candles...chocolate roses on the pillows...a book of Shakespeare's love poetry on the bed...we even bought a cheap CD player just so we could have the song 'She said YES' cued up and ready to play when they walked in......The happy couple were very thankful and we were just so glad they liked it...(the three of us girls are pooped...!!) And then we decided that we need to hire ourselves out to do cool stuff like this for special occasions..."Sisters for Hire"... Thank God it all worked out! That was a lot of work that was definitely worth it. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
