bertusgeert 1 #12 June 21, 2004 Sweet pics man, but how about the interior? A friend of mine flies medical fixed wing - and his company just bought a Bell 222UT - sweetass helicopter man. We were in downtown getting lunch, he points to the chopper, tells me they are doing a ILS approach on the helipad for the hospital - right down the main road of town. We get back to the airport, just as it does it's ILS on the runway, hovers, taxis over about 30ft in front of me turns, faces me - abt 5ft off the ground. The pilot drops it down, stops at 5 inches - holds it there for a minute, then sets it down. It was a pretty cool dang experience! Another observation: Drunken Rednecks are idiots. There were a bunch of locals that showed up uninvited. While I thought all of the cat fights with girls ripping each others tops off was cool but when the guys started after it, I kicked everybody out. Game over.
