Wouldnt worry about the 'roundabouts' in London....
I live there and I ...like most of the London driving population dont follow any rules on roundabouts.....if it looks clear...its mine !

Simple rule for driving in London.....OWN your roadspace he he...;)

Pansy English Southern shirtlifting Pouf.... Learn to take your Mars Bars like a man!

Personally, deep-fried Snickers bars are my favourite. More crunchy. More macho.

You could go to Sibson

If you go to Sibson, you should visit Cambridge (only half an hour away)... It's just like Oxford, only flatter (and with worse rowers)!!! [cue Oxbridge debate with Vicki - he he he]
Also, on your way up to Scotland, I highly recommend a stop over in York. It's my favourite UK city :)
Have fun wherever you end up going!

You'll find either city utterly breathtaking with more beautiful old buildings than you can imagine. But I still think Oxford's better! :P

Not to highjack Deuce's thread, but...

I'm planning a trip to London next weekend for some RW (not the whole family, just 2 cousins).

And if anybody would be interested in a night out for a good meal (read Guinness), and maybe even something to eat too, PM me and we can exchange phone numbers. I will be staying in Harrow, but most likely will be hitting up pubs and restaurants in the city.

No I have never seen a roundabout in the US.

Is that the same as a rotary?

if it is - come to New England - we've mastered them. Its rare to find a town (in Massachusetts anyway) that doesn't have one. You can always tell who the out-of-towerns are :P

We used to call it our nascar track - going about 50 around it without hitting anyone was doing really good! :D

Sounds like you have a fun trip planned, enjoy it :)

Did someone say :D???

Count me in! ;)

I am tentatively staying with the Skreamer on my return leg, and he's talking liver damage party time. My liver should be stunned into nonfunction by the Finns by then, so party on.

Who's up for some skydiving the 2nd through the 5th of August somewhere near London?

I'd love to... but it's that nasty thing called a job... [:/]

I'm hoping to be jumping at Nethers on the 1st August and will be up at Hibblestow 6-9 August.

See you in Sweden! B|

We have them in the Boston area. They call them "rotaries".

In fact, I was living in Boston when my girlfriend & I went to visit England (& Edinburgh, briefly). And it was weird how similar Boston was to London in terms of architecture & how the streets were laid out, etc. Parts of Boston have a very simlar kind of feel to them.
