wzettler 0 #1 June 26, 2004 Ok, so earlier today i'm at work and its getting close to quittin time. I'm a little bored so I go and check out the mensa site to see what the organization is all about. I'm cruisin around the site and see the "mensa workout" which anyone can take. They give you a little quiz to take and you kind of gauge yourself if you're unsure if you would qualify to get into the group. So I figure, what the heck and check it out. Its not too bad, you know some geometry, basic algebra, pattern recognition, etc. I get down to around the 15th question and it is a word scramble. the letters are: H C P R A A T E U. I am a little stumped. Ok, I look at it for a minute or so and skip over it. (theres a 30 minute time limit) Plus its the end of the work week and the ADD is kicking in a little too so I don't feel like thinking about it for too long... (excuses, excuses) When you're done you submit your answers and it tells you what you got wrong and gives you the right answers. Since I left that one blank it gave me the answer. You know what it was? PARACHUTE!!!!!! I thought to myself, "Are you f*cking kidding me?!!???!?!?!!" I'm ashamed that I didn't recognize that one immediately. Now every time I throw out and get a canopy over my head I'm gonna think....Mensa; parachute; i'm a dumbass!!! Anyway, I hope someone was entertained from this little story...
