sangiro 26 #1 June 25, 2004 Well, how do you like them apples? BTW - another way to do this (and many other things) is to go to the "Folders" tab at the top. Here you can select any folder and then using the buttons at the bottom, you can edit, apply your filters, delete, or delete any duplicates from the folder...Safe swoops Sangiro

Slappie 9 #4 June 25, 2004 Woot!! Thanks HH Even though I don't use my email acct here (to full of spam) I like to keep it empty so it saves space for you. Ok HH, I went to empy my email and clicked the subject box to select ALL the emails. It no longer selects all emails on that page "Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them." Let me look into this.Safe swoops Sangiro
sunshine 2 #6 June 25, 2004 I still like Fuji and Red Delicious apples best, but your new apples are pretty darn cool. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!

pilotdave 0 #8 June 25, 2004 It's all in how you choose to use it. I've never gotten a single piece of spam in mine. Course I've never gotten any real email either except for a couple test messages a long time ago to see if it works. Dave
Kennedy 0 #9 June 25, 2004 clicking the box next to Subject no longer checks the boxes for all the emails on the page. have you check them all individually.witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
Clownburner 0 #10 June 25, 2004 Yes, unfortunately, my dz.com email address got harvested by a spambot at some point, and now that account is 100% SPAM. My suggestion to HH is to give people a way to turn it off completely if we don't intend to use it; that way the spam will bounce instead of taking up disk space and I don't have to go in there periodically just to clear it out. 7CP#1 | BTR#2 | Payaso en fuego Rodriguez "I want hot chicks in my boobies!"- McBeth

sangiro 26 #13 June 25, 2004 That really does nothing. In fact if you're thinking about saving resources, then that solution is worse. If you're not going to use it, just leave it. You probably don't get more spam here than at Hotmail or other free mail providers, they simply don't allow it though to you. They block most of it away befor it gets to you. I chose to let users choose. I'm reconsidering. In the future I may very well just block it before it gets to you.Safe swoops Sangiro
AirMail 0 #14 June 26, 2004 Message Labs stats for April indicated that a record was set. 67% of Internet mail worldwide and 82% of Internet mail in the US was SPAM. That means that only 18% of US Internet mail was not junk. That's a pretty sad state of affairs. P--- It's never too late to have a happy childhood. Here's a site that someone else posted a while ago (can not remember who, sorry) with some ideas on how to protect yourself from the flood: Why Am I Getting All This Spam? One of their findings: QuoteThe vast majority of the spam we received -- over 97% of it -- was delivered to addresses that had been posted on the public Web. Be smart about how you use your email address on web sites, including this one.Safe swoops Sangiro
