I see dinner on the hoof...hehehe Seriously, I was thinking about Kapowsin last Saturday, but I had prior arrangements with the spousal unit to go Downtown. We went to the Asian Art Museum (NEAT stuff in there), and then went to the adjacent cemetery, where Bruce and Brandon Lee are interred. At home I've got a digital photo of their grave markers, and I'll post it if anybody's interested."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." ERICCONNELLY 0 #10 March 4, 2003 It's ugly here and always rains. Never sunny. No coffee and the beer sucks. (There, that should keep them away.)
homer 0 #11 March 4, 2003 Your only 3 hours away! I have got to get up there sometime. Over here on the east side in the Tri- Cities we can see Rainier, St. Helens, Adams and Hood as our back drop up to altitude. CSA #699 Muff #3804

sdctlc 0 #13 March 4, 2003 It is amazing that as close as Tri-Cities is geographically to Seattle, the landscape is SOOO different. Hope Larry and Bob are doing good out at Richland Sky Sports. Looking forward to seeing them in a few weeks when they have a Caravan in for the weekend! (March 29-30th I think??) Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!" Zenister 0 #22 June 28, 2004 I'm leaving (for now, but i'll be back. i've tasted the air and the water here and so will never be the same again) and i'm already starting to miss this place, particularly on days like today when the sky is an amazing blue, but it is really sense of community, of home, the families, camaraderie and joy of playing in in the skies with Rainer so close you can almost touch her on exit. many many thanks to everyone at Kapowsin Airsports and environs near who took me in, helped me learn, play, party, laugh, love and dance around moonlit fires. They yelled at me when i needed it, taught me continuously (the joy of cessnas and slow exits, how to drink busch light and more about skydiving and truly enjoying life than I'll ever be able to express) fed me lobster and strawberries, spattered me with paint on rain cloudy days, showed me where to crash when far to much beer had been consumed, and woke me to the lovely otter in the morning. I'm a better skydiver for having jumped here and more significantly, more importantly, my life is better because of the people, and place they have created to share the sport with. Again, I cant say it enough…many many thanks to the Farrington's, the Aiken's.... Andy, April, Jessie, Jeff, Keri, Kelly, Luke, Monica, Corina, Jeff, Chris, Margrette, Scott, James, Alan, Larry... Alison(sorry i missed your birthday) many more jumpers whom I’ve been privileged to share the skies over Kapowsin with. Be safe everyone, tell me how i can help from afar and i absolutely will, the next jump here cant come soon enough....____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
