wildblue 7 #14 June 28, 2004 QuoteDid he live? Amazingly enough, yes. Watch close - the huge dent that the PT put in the SUV is right where the car lands on the guy. Zenister 0 #15 June 28, 2004 yup, he'd just crossed that second white line and the accident stayed on that side...of course he didnt have much time for more than first instinctual response, but your right..he could have very nearly stopped in his tracks and watched it sail by.....____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. lawrocket 3 #19 June 28, 2004 Hmm. So the light was red 28 seconds when the PT Crusier entered the intersection. This means roughly 30 seconds till the guy got hit. This measn that, at the pace the pedestrian was taking his leisurely stroll through the intersection (outside of the crosswalk) he probably started crossing shortly after the light for him turned red. No worries, he'll take it nice an easy crossing against the light. He'll look dead ahead, while he's at it, not noticing whether a car is approaching. It appears he did nothing until he heard the sound of screeching tires. It looks like he might have been even if the PT Cruiser didn't enter. My wife is hotter than your wife. kelel01 1 #20 June 28, 2004 "So, in summation, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I think it's blatantly obvious that the plaintiff is to blame here . . . not looking where he was going, taking his time crossing the intersection, and moving forwards rather than backwards when he heard the sound of the screeching tires. It's almost like he wanted it to happen." Lawyers. Kelly

kelel01 1 #22 June 28, 2004 Yeah, I get pretty pissed when people stroll across the street/parking lot/restaurant while preparing food like everyone has forever to wait on them. I do try to avoid hitting pedestrians (and other cars, for that matter) when driving, though. Kelly
