And, as someone who volunteers endlessly to make the DZ a better place, loves the DZ and all the people who jump there, and always stands up for what I believe in, I felt it necessary to speak my mind. I may not have a ton of experience in the sport, and I may never accumulate your level of experience, but I do know how hard the DZO works to make Skydive Snohomish a positive place. After your words and actions today, I believe his decision to no longer allow you to jump there is a step in the right direction.
 Amazon 7 #20 June 24, 2004 So you believe extorting the full purchase price for a cancelled purchase of a camera helmet BEFORE I could get my rigs and helmets and BBQ off the DZ ( which I used over the weekend at my own expense to cook food for quite a few people as part of that whole trying to make it a better place thing you speak of) is a good business practice? The helmet was ordered on friday and I cancelled the order on Monday.. it was still not even there today. Even if it had arrived there and was fully paid for I believe on a standard item not a custom you would have 3 days to return it for WHATEVER reason. The whole issue would and could have been handled far better but everything seems to be soooo personal there. DO NOT SWEAR AT SNOHOMISH( interesting rationalization by the way) An apology from him would have gone over far better but that will not happen because he does not have it within himself to realize or to admit he made an error in judgement in his customer service skillset. As I told you on the phone on Monday when I cancelled the order.. I no longer want to do business with someone like that. I guess I am in good company with all the other people Tyson has "BANNED" or driven away with his attitude from his DZ when he has a difference of opinion with them. I was ALREADY self banning myself from your dropzone. My words and that is all they were no actions whatsoever... were in response to his attempted extortion which I found to be highly petty. Stunning scenery of the northern Puget Sound and Admiralty Inlet with the panorama of the North Cascades to the East.. and the Olympic Mountains to the west with Puget sound in between. 2 C-182 and a newer roomier C206 that are well maintained with Kapowsins Grand Caravan during the summer months of July to Sept. Cons DZO who alienates far too many people for having the audacity to have a difference of opinion with him on whatever his whim. Airport LZ limited to only C and D license jumpers( altho he has not allowed visitors with the credentials from USPA to jump there even then based on TSS)( exceptions to the rule go the other way as well if TSS) East Field (student landing)landing area on the other side of town where some people get forgotten about and not picked up by the short bus. I just laughed and told him "to bad I'm a unhappy customer and already made the decision that I won't be coming back. My wife quit her job at the state womens prison because the people in prison aren't nice and then you have to deal with the inmates. The employee's are total power and control freaks and the inmates have few options. The prison couldn't have one of their employees quitting a desirable cradle to the grave state job, so they started a rumor that my wife was fired. No problem here. Whats the difference between a disgruntled employee and a Mc job? The person who tells the story! The employer or the employee! Unless we're DZ working bee's at a DZ we have every right as a customer to go to whatever DZ will treat us the way we expect to be treated. Just like any customer in any other business except prison or the military. The DZO has every right to run his business the way he/she wants to. If they want to cater to $$$$ tandems and AFF good for them as long as they have the staff to support it. If they can't find a balance between the fun jumpers and Tandems Eventually the fun jumpers will get the message and look for better customer service at another DZ. No wailing, no flailing, no bitching, no name calling. See you later! BTW amazon if you decide to jump at another local DZ let me know whats up.
