Kramer 0 #1 July 1, 2004 I thought I'd share something my little ass Cessna DZ does after a day of jumping...any other DZ's out there doing this? Every Saturday and Sunday, the last load of the day (Sunset load to most of you), is called the "Beer Load" at the Indiana Skydiving Academy. The DZO (Paula) selects 4 people who are most deserving to pile into the Cessna, pur on up to 3,000 feet, and see who can land the closest to a bottle of Corona placed in the middle of our pea-gravel target. The loosely enforced rules are: If the champion of the previous beer load is at the DZ that day, he automatically gets one of the four slots. You can hover over the target, and cutaway at 50 feet if that's what it takes to win the Beer Load (kidding...relax). Back in the hanger, we have a Beer Load Leaderboard. The whole thing makes for a fun rivalry amongst the wanna-be skygods out there, and it's also a kick-ass way to end a fun day of jumping. We thought about adding a rule that states, the three losers of the Beer Load don't get beer for that night...but that's just brutal. Giddyup The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!! Snowbird 0 #5 July 2, 2004 Not every weekend, but often! Much fun. Our hit'n'chugs are open to whichever 4 get on the board first. I love 'em even though I suck at 'em! Visual... For some reason that escapes me, I have horrible accuracy on this particular hit'n'chug load. I land way short, and one of the guys jumps in the gator to come fetch me, with his little pooch Bentley along for the ride. (nice guy!) I'm the last one down, so no worries about another jumper landing as we zip across the grass. But I'm a terrible chugger, so the gal timing everyone says I still have to to chug, for the practice. Fine. I crack the can, start chugging... take a breath... chug a bit more, get some up my nose... yep I suck at chugging. I keep trying... until I'm told, 'Damn it Tina! Bentley chugs faster than you!' At which point I laugh and spit ice tea across the gator, narrowly missing people and dog. Yup, I love hit'n'chug!
