Kennedy 0 #1 July 1, 2004 GFD inspired me, and made me jealous, but in the fairly near future, I'm going to need a bed. Seeing as it's 1:30 am, Tempur Pedic infomercials are on. I was wondering if any dotcommers own or have slept on one. Also, it doesn't seem conducive to long, enjoyable evenings. ACMESkydiver 0 #2 July 1, 2004 You mean the adjustable beds, junior? Dude, you will never get laid in an adjustable bed. Might as well put a glass of Metamucil and coke-bottle reading glasses on the bedstand too. Oh, and don't forget to get the side-by-side twin adjustable beds. That should finish off your romantic atmosphere... Just food for thought... My SO once upon a time pointed at that info-mercial and said 'Those look cool!' and after a session of "Repeat after me: I am never getting laid in one of those beds." ...well suddenly the interest dropped. ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. RevJim 0 #10 July 1, 2004 Sorry, my wife and i, living in the wonderful climes of Wisconsin, will stick with our trust king sized waterbed. The key to a good waterbed it the flotation of the mattress. Let's just say take the cost of the entire bed new, multiply it by about 3, and you get the cost of the mattress that's in it now. WELL WORTH IT! We tried the "sleep number beds" back when they were still called "Select Comfort". We were impressed. I'd be lying if I didn't admit that. But then you get the women whom are perpetually cold (like my wife). Nothing beats hopping into a nice, warm bed on a cold winter's night. It's your life, live it! Jib 0 #13 July 1, 2004 I can't compare them, but there are other companies constructing beds out of the same material for a whole lot less. Muenkel 0 #15 July 2, 2004 Same with me, I've got the Tempur Pedic pillow and it is extremely comfortable. My bed is a Sealy Posture Pedic and very comfortable. However, I have been considering the Nautilus beds. Anyone have the info on those? _________________________________________ Chris
wingnut 0 #16 July 2, 2004 i've always wondered about those beds myself... i just can't justify spending like a grand on a bed.... got my king size for 200 new and it is comfy for me.... the waterbed i had while in highschool was cool.. i know what you're talking about rev, the heater is the way to go.... untill it breaks and you are to lazy to drain the bed and get a new one under it........i also miss being able to "rock" myself to sleep inmy waterbed..a litle heal down and a nice wave was gently roking ya... never got to try out "other activities" on though ....... i do have a sleep number bed i take withme to the dz though.... mynumber is 12 as in the volts required to power the air pump for my air matress....lol...i'm cracking myself up here... what no one else thought it was funny...... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
