sdctlc 0 #1 July 2, 2004 Given the rash of recent Bike purchases by people on here. Does anybody know a good source for parts for a '88 Honda Shadow VT1100C. I have one that I am trying to get goingand am looking for some parts: Rear shock absorber Driver pegs How about a good source for new tires?? I have a lead on a new tank (needed) and a 3 peice seat set (not needed but if can be bouyght cheap why not). As you might guess it is a great bike the last owner dumped. I want to get it up and running again and ride the shit out off it. Just a random asking the masses thought Scott C."He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!" wildblue 7 #5 July 2, 2004 Cycle Forums has a Classifieds section too - might be good place to look. Cycle Recycle has a TON of used parts, might find something there. http://www.crc2onlinecatalog.com/ Shock and pegs are probably failrly 'standard' though - probably tons of aftermarket version around. Look on Ebay too - tons of stuff to be had there. Tires - just about anywhere it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
sdctlc 0 #6 July 2, 2004 The shocks are proving the be the trick. They are adjustable and I cant find any on E-bay or J.C. or other shops that replace it. I can find them for smaller bikes or for the 1100 but earlier model years (before they changed design for both pipes to come out of one side of the bike. As for tires I just wnted to know if somebody had a good cheap source, hell I can go up the street and get a set of tires but want to see if I can save some money....
