Unoftunately a firewall does not prevent HTTP exploits. Most of those can be handled by a well-programmed web browser. IE just sucks ass.... that is all. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! BabaLouie 0 #5 July 5, 2004 QuoteGeez people!!!, just install a firewall, get all the updates be careful with what you download and SHUP THE HELL UP!!! That does not solve all the problems. The larger problems deal with ActiveX, Scripting and Frames. I use a software firewall, Agnitum, and run Opera for the Browser. Even then, I only enable ActiveX, Scripting and Frames on sites that I absolutely trust. The only time I use IE is when I go VPN to my company network. Opera will work there, but the site is really designed for MS products. Don't recall where I read this, but supposedly Bill Gates made a statement that IE was to be redesigned from the ground up due to the number of security issues involving IE.
