My Turbo Forester is sold....

Recommended Posts

I didnt want to pay the crazy insurance they wanted for the vehicle. So I sold it and bought a 2002 Mazda Protege5 with 20,000 miles and a 2003 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R 636 bike. I had a lot of positive equity in the Forester so when i got rid of it I bought the bike cash.

I pay $170 a month less than before...what do you think?

What do I think? I think any Subaru that is sold for a non-Subaru had a fool for an owner! :P

I'm an Impreza Outback wagon owner, myself. LOVE the thing! The only car I'd ever sell it to replace it with would be a WRX wagon.

Well, enjoy your new ride(s).

Well the Forester is my 3rd Subaru to own and I love those vehicles. I am probably the biggest subaru fan in the US...lol. I am one of the founding members of the New England Subaru Impreza club, I have versed myself in rally racing through the SCCA. Subaru, WRC and Team 555 have been my heritage in cars......to me there is no better looking car on the road than the old GC6 body style of the RS's from 1998-2001. If I could have bought another one of those I would have....the problem is...why buy a car with 70K miles for $12K when you can buy a car with 20K for less?

Bike is great. Nice powerful rev band. Lots of mid range pull as oppossed to the R6's and GSXR6's I have ridden. The handling is very neutral. You can easily flick it from side to side and not worry to much about dancing around the seat. If you are about 190+ in weight you need to watch the front wheel. It can bounce and slide on ya a bit. Great bike, fun to ride......decent track bike.....better around town, mountain road speeder.

Now JP is that nice?

Hey it is the forster you tried to give away...this works so much better for me.:P

This bike rips. It handles so well, pulls so well, and brakes so well.

My GSXR's felt heavy to me but this thing is light...I dont have to dance in the seat to get it move. My knee will soon be on the ground.......:D.......time for me to pull my Sidi's, and full race leathers out of the closet.B|

They were notheavy as in weight...dry weight was for the 2002 365pounds. They fealt heavy to get turned in, but once turned in it was fine. I think it might have been the huge ass round gas tank under me that made the think that way. It was the best wheelie bike I ever rode though. 2nd gear at 80 and a little bounce and it was up. Stand ups in 2nd last a long time.

Is that the bike Ghostrider in Europe rides?
