skymut 0 #2 July 8, 2004 P.O.D.'s new album rocks, and it's different from a lot of what's out there right now...which is probably why you don't hear much of it on the air. Which is a good thing, it keeps it fresh. Also, Godsmack's acoustic album 'The Other Side' is really sweet. However, you can DEFINITELY hear their Alice in Chains influence. Lainey 0 #4 July 9, 2004 You probably wont take many of my suggestions but never the less here are a few from various genres: A great Aussie band , been around for a while is Powderfinger, they are kind of rock i guess. If you're looking for hip hop I like some of the old Jungle Brothers stuff or Jurassic 5, I don't know if you've ever heard Aussie hip hop... i don't know if you'd even be able to GET aussie hip hop there (hahe) but we have a great group called The Hilltop Hoods. if they have anything on the net have a listen, it's different but awesome. Damn cool for me is any of the following groups... Dashboard Confessional, The Get Up Kids, The Ataris, Taking Back Sunday, Brand New. They are all whiney complaint rockish type music though so I don't know how much of it you'd enjoy, it's definately different to what most people listen to. Electronic music try: The Postal Service, they have one album called Give Up. They have this strange techy, electro sound with soft vocals... just really awesome relaxing music. Another favourite of mine is Radiohead. .
