supafly 0 #1 July 11, 2004 Next Friday (July 16th) I'm coming out to MI for ten days to visit family and friends. I did my first tandem at Tecumseh almost a year ago exactly and I'm psyched to get back there and do some jumps. Obviously, theres no shortage of cool people to jump with :) but I had a few questions... 1) I'm planning on coming out the following Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday. I know Saturday will kick a$$ (Chicks Rock Boogie!), but how about Monday and Tuesday. In Eloy, summer is our slow season and the dropzone closes almost altogether on Tuesday and Wednesday. I don't think this would be the case in MI, but...? 2) I've been known to be extremely lazy when it comes to packing (expecially on vacation). I checked the website and still can't tell, are packers readily available or should I mentally prepare myself to battle my large canopy and small d-bag? :) 3) I'll be staying in Ann Arbor with a rental car, but was thinking about staying at the DZ or near by Monday night if there are any accomodations available (bunk house, hotel, etc...). Can anybody reccommend anything? Thanks. Look forward to meeting you guys and having a great time! --KeithArizona Drive 4-Way VFS - www.DriveVFS.com
tandembrent 0 #2 July 11, 2004 yes, you will have fun! the dz's closed on mondays, open all others mon thru fri 12:00noon till beer-thirty, dark, rain, what-ever sat and sun 9:00am wheels up till beer-thirty, dark, rain what-ever comes first you can always crash in the loft, ask david or ron, i'm sure they will offer. you can also stay in tecuseh at the tecumseh inn, tell them you want the skydiver discount it will be about 50$ on the week end and slightly cheaper during the week! you should call imeadiately if you want to stay at the inn, there is a nascar race in brooklyn, mich that weekend and might be booked up. you could buy a tent or maybe borrow one for a lot less money than the inn and stay on the dz. i'll see you there, be safe, and have a good trip here! i'll be the taller guy wearing mostly orange clothing, the other cat wearing orange is Sporto, just don't get your hands too close to his mouth!!!! peace, brent ***~~~~Green grass and high clouds forever~~~~ no matter where you go, there you are! Chrissay 0 #3 July 12, 2004 Welcome back! Even if it is for a visit. As Brent said, we are closed on Mondays, we do fly during the week, how much depends on how many tandems are there. Which lately we have had quite a few mid-week tandems. We do have some wonderful packers available, so you shouldn't have to worry about battling your canopy. We have a camping area available and a shower house, if you want to crash in the loft though, I would give the dz a call and see if that is alright. DZ phone is 517.423.7720. I look forward to meeting you! Chrissy
