Kennedy 0 #5 July 13, 2004 I've heard better things about Wiley X, not that I've ever paid more than $10 for a pair of shades. At least then you get something extra for all that cash. hmm, gatorz, gatorz, where have I heard of those before.witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*
AggieDave 6 #6 July 13, 2004 Gatorz? That's what a lot of the motorcycle world wears, as well as a lot of the skydiving world. I've been using a pair of gatorz for my skydiving "goggles" for the past 2 years and they've performed flawlessly.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." nacmacfeegle 0 #7 July 13, 2004 Dave Man, get with the programme, all you need is some duct tape and an Ipod. But Ipods are soooo last year, what you really want is an Archos, then you can have skydivingmovies.com (or for that matter, the complete series of The Dukes) wherever you go http://www.archos.com/products/av300_series.html Paired with a some of these.... http://www.gadgets.co.uk/eye-top-eyetop-video-glasses-screen.html The goggles can be paired with just about any camcorder, so you could run them from a hand mount........ kingbunky 3 #8 July 13, 2004 what would be really cool was if you could get your protrack wired into it... instant speed and altitude readouts without having to look away... edited to add, i'm talking about nacmac's goggles here.. the 'thumps' look cool, but 6 hour battery life? must be watch batteries or something... hope they're rechargable.."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." nacmacfeegle 0 #10 July 13, 2004 You'd be surprised by the image quality Ivan. I haven't tried any of my booby movies on it yet, but later today I'll be testing it with some skydiving footage to see how it handles rapid movement.....-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. AndyMan 7 #12 July 13, 2004 You understand that they're called "Thump", right? That in itself makes them completely unsuitable for skydiving. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
