Floridian Campers

Recommended Posts

I'd like to endulge on the "WORLD FAMOUS" :Dgenerosity of the people in Florida, and ask if there is anyone who would be able to lend me a 6 person tent for my stay on the DZ when I visit.
It needs to be at least 6 person to accomadate me and my wife and our gear. But I'm an old Focker and would like to stand up in the tent.
It would be required in January and only for about a week at most.
Are there any kindly folk there who could assist?:)

What no one goes camping in Florida.
Or am I over estimating the Legendary generosity I've heard so much about:ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r:

Squeak there are many in Fla. Just hit up Skymama and bytch! I'm sure one would put you up ;)

If not you've been.. BYTCHISIZED

In all seriousness, if you were coming to the Houston area I have a large 6 man tent I would loan you. But, you're going to Fla and I'm a couple 1k miles (kilometers) away.

The reply about tent-camping in Fl and A/C has a ring of truth to it. Many Fl residents don't camp in the summer because the heat can making sleeping difficult.

I had a tent last year at Rantoul, but the storm ate it.

At z-hills, you can rent a trailer on the dz. During the summer, it can be 80 deg at midnight and humid. Being bug-free and A/C cooled is a thing that you may want to consider. :)

The tent I use sometimes belongs to my ex-husband. Sorry, but it's not mine to lend out to people.

Also, it's July. That's a long way from January. Ask again in say, November or December.

I also have an extra tent, but it's a 3 person tent and not able to stand up in. Looking around most DZs the tents aren't the kind you're looking for. The trailers at ZHills are an excellent idea, and not that expensive at all. I think Deland has some houses that rent out rooms, etc etc as well.
