yardhippie 0 #1 July 14, 2004 Ok, so it looks like a got a-nother job. I have to go meet the guy this evening "eyeball to eyeball" to "work out" the details. Its hard work, running heavy machinary, and driving a dump truck, for about 10 hours a day. Thing is... I already have a part-time job (5 hours a day),(w/ awsome benifits, working nights. Question is, how long do you think I can juggle the two before I: a) curl up and die, b)go mad and become a skybum, c)am too tired to skydive, or d) all of the above. yes, I know Im insane, but who isnt? Goddam dirty hippies piss me off! ~GFD "What do I get for closing your rig?" ~ me "Anything you want." ~ female skydiver Mohoso Rodriguez #

Luv2Fall 0 #3 July 14, 2004 I had to work two fulltime jobs for a year and a half..........extremely exhausting..........you do get "accustomed" to it...........just a busy routine. Add option "e" - you'll adapt and do fine.

Unstable 9 #8 July 14, 2004 If you starve yourself of sleep long enough then go skydive, you can just doze off on take-off and next thing you know, JUMP RUN!=========Shaun ==========
DTOXX 0 #9 July 14, 2004 There was a time when I worked The following: Monday thru Friday 8am to 4:00 - work as a cook in a fairly nice restaurant. 4:00 to 5:00 - walk 3 blocks, shower/change cloths, walk to another restaurant across the street from the first. Tuesday thru Saturday 5:00 to 12:00 - work as a bartender. This schedule left me with Saturday morning, Sunday all day, and Monday evenings off. Did this for just under a year and I was able to adapt. If it was not for the slightly off set schedule I may not have lasted so long. In short what you described is do-able, just not very fun sounding. ------- D.T. Holder SIMstudy
skydiver30960 0 #10 July 14, 2004 Who is Mohoso Rodriguez??? Hey, just do the best you can. Your boss probably already knows about your current job, and he also knows about the long hours he's putting on you. Most important thing: if things get to be too much, don't be afraid to say "sorry dude, it's just more than I can handle"... don't let yourself get so worn down that you risk yourself or others. In the meantime, soak up the $$$ and fatten up the savings account! Elvisio "take the money and run" Rodriguez
