jumpergirl 0 #1 July 13, 2004 ... since my last jump. I jumped on July 13, 2003 with Chop Chop when he was in FL, with Travis doing video. Then I had my car wreck one month later. No wonder my day had a funk over it. I still have about 5 months until the docs clear me to jump again... it seems like forever.
freeflir29 0 #2 July 13, 2004 That stinks.........at least you live in Florida so it will still be relatively warm in 5 months. Hope your healing finishes up!

favaks 0 #6 July 13, 2004 Many things. The main reason was DZ politics and it got old. I started focusing on other aspects of my life. The year before, I did 300 jumps! . I'm going back to Lost Prairie this year and the first jump back is going to be awesome. favaks
jumpergirl 0 #7 July 13, 2004 Thanks DzDiva! I always appreciate your support! favaks - Glad to hear you'll be jumping again at Lost Prairie!!
 cocheese 0 #8 July 14, 2004 Sorry to hear that. Well you could get ready for your next skydive. Like a new piece of gear or two . Or plan some distant trip to go on.. with or without a parachute when the time comes. You could start a hobby that would give you something to do on those windy/rainy days.It is tough being out of the game, but let's be thankful as hell we'll be going back in.... to win the series.Write anytime. Thankfully, I've had F1Freak here taking GREAT care of me!! He's been the best through all of this... the accident, unemployment, surgery, the bitching and moaning about it... he's a trooper!!
 marcandalysse 0 #15 July 14, 2004 It is truly amazing how the body heals itself, although the schedule it sets is beyond understanding! When you have multiple injuries, some heal up fast (often the injury that you thought would take the longest heals before the 'smaller' injury), some hang in there for months, some heal but the pain returns from time to time.... In May, I got hit by a motorcycle while walking down a street in India. Alysse saw me flying through the air, roll 3 times then hit a wall. Amazingly, I got up and was still able to walk around! I guess my PLFs are pretty automatic by now! Over 2 weeks later had an MRI and found a break and a ligament torn around my knee. I am grateful to my guardian angels that I am alive (although they must have been looking the other way for a moment when the motorcycle was zooming around the corner!), and it has been interesting to see how it is healing..... I am glad that you all are healing well, and posting on dz.com. Time seems slow when you can't get around, but before you know it you will have passed through the worst and then have to psych yourself up to jump out the plane again!
